    7. OUTLET REQUIREMENTS Please make sure to connect the charger to an electrical outlet that has a functional ground connection. The ground or earth line in the outlet should be in good working condition. In case of product malfunction, the ground connection ensures that any extra electrical current is safely redirected into the ground, reducing the risk of electric shock.

    8. INSTALLATION Find the best spot to mount your charging sta on. Pick a place where the power cable can easily reach your vehicle’s charge port with some extra slack. Locate a nearby NEMA 14-50 outlet that supports 240V. Connect the plug, then posi on the charging sta on level beneath the outlet. Make sure the wall can support its weight, and that the power cable reaches the outlet comfortably without stretching.
  • Page 10 Disconnect and set the charging sta on aside. Align the wall mount with the reference line you made, then mark the three moun ng holes. Drill the three pilot holes using a 5mm drill bit (not included) appropriate for your wall type. 5mm drill bit (not included)
  • Page 11 Secure the mount to the wall using the PWA4x25 screws (one extra for spare) and wall anchors. Make sure it is firmly a ached to provide a stable base for the charging sta on. Hook the charging sta on onto the mount. Align the moun ng holes on both sides, then ghten the M3x5 c-ring screws.
  • Page 12 Determine the ideal moun ng height for the charging connector. Hold the j-hook level against the wall near the charging sta on. Mark the four moun ng holes. Drill the four pilot holes using a 5mm drill bit (not included) appropriate for your wall type. 5mm drill bit (not included)

    10. DOWNLOADING THE APP Compa ble with Compa ble with The auto-sync feature in the TYPE S devices with iPhone, iPad, Mac Drive App allows you to Android™ 7.0 or and iPod touch with 1) Manage the charger’s func ons higher.

    10 seconds to enter Pairing Mode. The icon will flash on the display gauge. iOS / Android Device Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Run the TYPE S Drive App. Create an account with Apple or Google.
  • Page 17 Scroll down the list of categories and select Ba ery/EV Charger. Select EV CHARGER and click Set Up Device.
  • Page 18 Click Next, then click Connect to begin pairing. Select the device you want to pair with once it shows up. The designated UUID is located on the side of your device.
  • Page 19 Enter the WiFi SSID and password to connect to your wireless network. Upon successful connec on, the screen will show device paired and switch to main interface automa cally.

    12. CHARGING YOUR VEHICLE When the charger is properly connected to the outlet, the green power indicator light on the charger will stay on. The display gauge will default to screen save mode. Before star ng a charging session, click on the charger to set the current between 8A, 16A, 32A and 40A.
  • Page 21 Real Time Charging Mode To ini ate immediate charging, insert the charging connector into your vehicle’s charge port. The green status indicator light will stay on and switch to blue upon comple on. If an error occurs, the indicator light will remain red, along with a warning screen on the display gauge. Please refer to page 38 for error iden fica on.
  • Page 22 If you wish to customize the charging se ngs, click on the charger to switch to Scheduled Charging or Quan ta ve Charging Mode. Alterna vely, click the REAL TIME CHARGING tab in the App to switch between different modes.

To customize the charging me, please follow these steps: Select SCHEDULED CHARGING from the main interface, then click to create a new charging schedule.
  • Page 24 In case the App is not connected, the screen will display a reminder to set a charging schedule through the App. When you engage the mode without the charging connector plugged into your vehicle’s charge port, the screen below will appear for reminder.

    13. USING THE APP Tracking Your Charging Expenses The App provides a convenient way to monitor your charging expenses. Follow the steps below to set up your local electricity rates and peak me periods, ensuring accurate cost calcula ons for each day’s charging session. Click in the main interface to enter the App’s dashboard.
  • Page 28 Input the basic, low peak and high peak electricity rates in USD/kWh. NOTE: Please consult your local electricity provider for specific electricity rates in your region. Click Add New and input the start and end mes for both low and high peak periods. You can set mul ple me periods for both low and high peak rates.
  • Page 29 A er inpu ng your rates and me periods, the App will automa cally calculate the electricity costs for each of the past 7 days based on your usage. You can view a summary of daily costs in the App’s dashboard.
  • Page 30 Sharing Your Device The mul user control feature in the App allows you to extend your charger’s access to others, crea ng a group of users who can control the device and view charging data. Click in the main interface and go to Device Management. Click , then click to ini ate device sharing.
  • Page 31 The App will generate a unique join code for each user you wish to share your charger with. You can send this code using any communica on pla orm you prefer. NOTE: When sharing access with mul ple users, make sure each user joins the group with the unique code before genera ng a new one. If you create a new code before the previous user has joined, the earlier code will become invalid.
  • Page 32 Joining A Group A er the group owner shares the join code, you will receive it via the selected pla orm. Click the link to view the code. Copy the code for the next steps.
  • Page 33 Run the TYPE S Drive App. Create an account with Apple or Google. Scroll down the list of categories and select Ba ery/EV Charger.

  • Page 35 Paste the join code you copied earlier into the designated field. A er entering the code, you will be successfully added to the group and granted access to the charger. NOTE: Only one member can control the device at a me. If another member is currently using the charger, you will not be able to ini ate a charging session un l they disconnect.
  • Page 36 Firmware Update When a firmware update is available for your charger, you will see a red dot next to the icon on the device management page. Click the icon and select Update Now. During the update, do not exit the window, quit the App, or lock your screen, as this may interrupt the update process.

    In case of any issue with the charger, a warning screen will appear along with an error code in the top le corner. Refer to the table below for iden fica on and remedy. If the status persists, please contact TYPE S for troubleshoo ng.
