    OPERATING MODE The device can be used in two different switching modes : • SEAMLESS MODE, allows switching seamlessly, fading and titling between the “reference” COMPUTER input and the other inputs. Other inputs are scaled to the same format as the “reference” COMPUTER format. NOTE : Input #1 and #8 can be used as the reference capter input. NOTE : The “reference” Computer is not scaled. • FAST SWITCHING MODE allows selecting an output format corresponding to your application. All video inputs are scaled to the selected format.
  • Page 19 IMPORTANT : The CUT, FADE, PIP and TITLE effects are active in SEAMLESS mode and only between the reference computer input and the other inputs. • CUT (SEAMLESS) : Pre-select the reference computer input with the INPUT SELECTION button (The LED is blinking). Select an EFFECT PRESET, assign it the CUT effect.
  • Page 20 • FADE COLOR : The FADE COLOR allows switching between 2 sources with a fading to a color of you choice. This transition operates in Fast Switching mode and sometimes in Seamless mode (only when the other effects are not possible). You can select the color of the fading with the LCD CONTROL menu.

    3-3. DISPLAY DEVICE ADJUSTMENTS • IN SEAMLESS MODE : Select the reference computer source. The reference computer image is displayed onto the output. A djust directly the display device itself, using its position and size controls, to fill the computer image in full screen. ❷ ❶ • IN FAST SWITCHING MODE : Display the centering pattern with the LCD menu (OUTPUT > test pattern > centering). Display a black output.

    USING FRAME & LOGO INSERTION 4-1. LOGO INSERTION This function allows storing up to 8 static logos & 1 animated logo in order to key them into the displayed image (up to 2 logos simultaneously). IMPORTANT : The output format used when displaying logos should be the same as the one used during the logo storing.

    UPDATING THE DEVICE 6-1. INTRODUCTION The device can be updated thanks via RS232 communication port or via LAN communication port of a computer (PC). 6-2. CONNECTION Connect the device to an AC power outlet. Switch ON the device (REAR PANEL SWITCH = I). Connect the device to the computer used for the update via the desired communication port.

    • CASE OF LAN PORT : - W ith the front panel display menu of the device, verify the configuration of the LAN communication port (CONTROL > LAN setup), then activate the LAN communication port (CONTROL > RS232/LAN port > LAN). - W ith the Control menu of the software, select RS232/LAN setup and LAN Setup. Then configure the Local port, the Remote IP address and the Remote port and click on Apply to setup the new values.

INTRODUCTION If you need to use your own Software Control program from a PC or WORKSTATION with an RS232 port, the device allows communication through an ASCII code protocol.   • Page 54 F. RS-232 Sample for OVX How to use : The device treats any character that it receives on the RS-232 or LAN as a possible command but only accepts legal commands. There is no starting/ending code needed in a command string. A command can be a single character typed on a keyboard and does not require any special character before or after it.
