Product Description BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 is a Bluetooth handsfree kit with text to speech and voice answer technologies, it can announce the name of the caller and includes Automatic Phonebook Transfer, Voice Answer, A2DP Music Streaming (as well as Navigation Instructions from the GPS of your smartphone), Multi-Point, Call Waiting and Full DSP (Noise/Echo Cancellation).
  • Page 5 3. Charging Your BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 announces the battery level when you turn it on. If the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 says “Battery low”, the Bluetooth indicator will turn blinking red. The kit needs to be charged. Connect the charger’s plug into the Charger Port of the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3.
  • Page 6 Pairing should be done only at the first connection to a phone. 1. Pair your phone at first time use For first time use, when you will turn the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 on, it will instruct you to select the preferred language to use.
  • Page 7 The BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 is now discoverable and pairable. You can connect any phone you want by executing a Bluetooth search on the phone you want to connect, then selecting BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 in the list of found Bluetooth devices.
  • Page 8 Note: After pairing, most phones automatically connect to the kit. With some phones you will need to connect to the kit manually. Go to Bluetooth > Paired devices > highlight BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 > press Options > then press Connect. Or press the Volume Control Button connect to handsfree kit.
  • Page 9 7. Phonebook Update If you renamed or added a contact in your phone, you can refresh the phonebook of the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 for the kit to recognize the change. Note: For some phones, if you modify the phonebook, to consider the changes, you might need to turn off the phone then turn it on.
  • Page 10 Fix the metal clip of BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 on the sun visor. Attach the magnetic back of BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 to the fixed metal clip. The BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 must be placed in such a way that its microphone is directed to the mouth of the user.
  • Page 11 9. How to use the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3? IMPORTANT: The kit needs to be ‘paired’ to your Bluetooth mobile phone first, before you can use the following functions. See section 5. Selecting language and Pairing to your Bluetooth Mobile Phone.
  • Page 12 Answer Calls When the phone rings, the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 will read out the caller’s name or number. After the beep, say “OK”. Or press the Volume Control button for 1 second to answer the call. The incoming call is answered and the audio is heard through the handsfree kit.

  • Page 14 If you receive a call during an ongoing call, a low beep will be heard from the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3. To end the current call and accept the second incoming call: Short press the Volume Control button (1); the current call will be ended and the second call accepted.
  • Page 15 Multipoint The BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 can simultaneously connect to 2 Bluetooth devices. The BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 is active on both mobile phones. User actions (voice dial, redial) will control the primary phone, but an incoming call on any of the two phones can be accepted or rejected from the BLUEANT COMMUTE 3.

  • Page 17 Connection switching between paired phones The BLUEANT COMMUTE 3 always maintains a maximum of 8 phones in its memory. An additional pairing will automatically delete the phone that has not been used for the longest time. Any deleted phone needs to be paired again before it can be used.
