    ST-PRINTER 6000 RISK OF ASPHYXIA GASOLINE ENGINES Exhaust gases of gasoline vehicles contain carbon monoxide, a colourless and odourless gas which, if inhaled, can cause serious physical problems. Special attention is always required when working within pits, as exhaust gases components are heavier than air and consequently deposit on the bottom of the pit.

    Size and weight are extremely limited. The ST-PRINTER 6000 printer is power supplied by means of batteries (5 rechargeable batteries, size AA) with RS232 serial interface and is provided with a 203 dpi thermal printing system, employing paper having a width of 57,5 mm in rolls and printing 24 characters per line.

    ST-PRINTER 6000 THE MULTIFUNCTION KEY This key allows for several printer functions, according to the duration of the pressure on the key. If the printer is turned off (red led off), by pushing the key, the printer is power supplied (red led blinking). To turn off the printer, push the key twice (the led starts blinking faster and the printer turns off).

    ST-PRINTER 6000 6.1.1 NOTES FOR THE USE OF BATTERIES Please note that a new NiMH battery reaches its best performance after being completely run down and then recharged for at least two or three times. The battery autonomy can vary remarkably, for instance, according to the printing density and the text to the printed.
  • Page 18 ST-PRINTER 6000 CHARGE: When charging rechargeable batteries, use exclusively the battery-charger provided with the equipment and recharge in premises with a temperature ranging between 10 °C and 45 °C. The use of a battery- charger different from the recommended one can lead to batteries overload.

WARNING In case batteries ALKALINE type, size AA are used , that is NON RECHARGEABLE batteries, this might lead to the ST-PRINTER printer explosion and subsequent serious damage of the Scantool .

    CAP. 12 - PRINTING WITH ST-PRINTER 12.1 CONNECTION WITH SCANTOOL To print the values obtained through the vehicle diagnosis (for ex. Errors, parameters), the ST-PRINTER 6000 printer shall be connected to the tool. Comply with the following: • Take the cable supplied with the tool and connect the 9-pin connector to the serial port of the scantool.

    ST-PRINTER 6000 12.2 PRINTING Push the F7 key, where enabled, to save the parameter and errors values. Once all the required data have been saved, they can be printed by going back to the general selection page and pushing the F2 key.
  • Page 30 ST-PRINTER 6000 The display shows all the values previously saved; by means of the F1 and F2 keys, up to eight saved items can be displayed Push the F3 key to erase all the saved data concerning the vehicle.
