ASSEMBLING YOUR GRIDDLE BEFORE ASSEMBLING YOUR GRIDDLE Make sure that you have assistance from another person to handle the griddle box and other large, heavy parts. Use the “Package Contents” on page 6 and “Specifications & Parts Diagram” on page 25 to ensure all items are included and free of damage.

ASSEMBLING YOUR GRIDDLE STEP 4 Install Center Shelf Insert shelf into position by aligning cutouts over screws and push into place. STEP 5 Mount Gas Tank Bracket Mount the gas tank bracket to the left side of the cart using two thumb screws. The gas tank bracket should face the outside of the cart.

STEP 6 Install Burner Box A. Position the burner box next to the cart. B. Lock the caster wheels. C. With another person, lift the burner box onto the cart and align the four latches. Lock the four latches to secure the burner box to the cart. STEP 7 Install Side Shelf Supports A.

COOKING WITH YOUR GRIDDLE WARNING: Your griddle will get very hot. NEVER lean over the cooking area while using your griddle. Do not touch cooking surfaces, griddle housing, lid, or any other parts while the griddle is in operation or until the griddle has cooled down after use. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in serious bodily injury.

PURGING AIR / RESETTING REGULATOR PURGING AIR FROM THE GAS LINE/RESETTING THE REGULATOR Turn the control knob OFF. 2. Turn off the gas at the tank valve. Disconnect the regulator from propane tank. 4. Let the gas line and regulator stand for five minutes to allow air to purge. 5.
CLEANING & MAINTAINING YOUR GRIDDLE WARNING: Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses when cleaning your grill. Turn off the gas supply at the source and disconnect the unit before servicing. To avoid the possibility of burns, maintenance should be done only when the griddle is cool and off. Keep your outdoor cooking area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors and liquids.

CLEANING & MAINTAINING YOUR GRIDDLE BURNER TUBES AND BURNER PORTS To reduce the chance of a flashback fire you must clean the burner tubes before initial use, at least once a month in the summer and fall (or when spiders and other insects are active in your area), and if your griddle has not been used for an extended period of time.
Reinstall all orifices, burners, screws, and cooking components. If you suspect an obstruction in the gas valves or manifold, call the Element Customer Support at (888) 842-3577. Check for obstructions in the burner tubes. See “Burner Tubes and Burner Ports” on page 21 for cleaning instructions.

Close off the gas supply at its source and reconnect fuel line to the griddle. If an obstruction is suspected in the orifice or gas valves, call the Element Customer Support at (888) 842-3577.

What causes griddle parts to rust, and what effect does it have on my grill? Rusting is a natural oxidation process and will not affect the short-term performance of your griddle. To slow the rusting process on cooking grids, grease the grates before and after each use. Use a brush to apply a thin layer of cooking oil or vegetable shortening onto each grate.
