Too much tongue weight exerted on the hitch ball can lower the tow
vehicle in the back and overload tow vehicle's rear tires, resulting in
traction, steering and braking problems.
Not enough weight on the trailer tongue can reduce tow vehicle's rear
tires, resulting in traction, steering and braking problems.
Do not exceed the maximum weight ratings shown in the Specifcations
table above.
Do not exceed the rating of the lowest rated component in the
vehicle/trailer set-up.
Safety chains between the towing vehicle and the trailer are
always required.
Tongue Weight is the static force the
trailer toungue exerts on the hitch ball.
Loading a trailer correctly to maintain a
proper trailer tongue weight is critical for
towing safety and good trailer handling.
Do not exceed 500 Lbs. Tongue Weight
Capacity while using this Adjustable Ball
Mount. Read additional instructions on

of your loaded trailer.
