Software. Note: The GEM-ATOM micro SD card contain specific data and should NOT be used in any other devices, including smartphones, digital cameras, etc. -
Page 8: Preparing A New Micro Sd Card
Do not remove or insert the card, when the recording is still in progress. The GEM-ATOM file can be accessed by inserting the SD card onto the host PC (faster for loading the records) or by connecting via USB cable. - Page 9 “Select image file”. - The software will let you select the location. Make sure you select the USB Drive that the GEM-ATOM is connected to. (as shown in the picture below) - Once you select “rcimage” and then “Open” the Record Manager will load the recordings (if any) or showing the Battery Level, Serial Number, Firmware Version and so on.

PASSWORD PROTECTION AND ENCRYPTION OF FILES For GEM-ATOM (as also per all our audio and video surveillance devices), we have several levels of security features which can be enabled/disabled at user discretion. Page 19: Digital Signature
The Digital Signature is now a feature automatically available in every audio and video recorders developed and manufactured by Acustek. The GEM-ATOM has it’s own SHA-256 hardware calculation during the recording, which at the same time, makes Digital Signature in the SD card so that if there is some technical issue with battery interruption a background algorithm will prevent the failing of the Digital Signature. - Page 20 The GEM-ATOM also create a *.sig file for each record, where is saved the Digital Signature of the file. The .sig file is a text file where the user can copy/paste the text and verify the signature by using any other 3 party tools for calculating SHA-256 signature.
