Installation Location Recommendation For optimal performance, the phase converter should be installed as close to the power supply as possible. It is recommended to keep the single-phase supply line under 50 feet in length. If a longer distance is necessary, increase the wire size by one gauge for every additional 50 feet to minimize voltage drop and ensure reliable operation.
SERVICE REQUIREMENTS SINGLE-PHASE POWER REFERENCE CHART (KVA TO AMPS @ 240V) USE THIS CHART TO DETERMINE THE MAXIMUM AMPERAGE AVAILABLE FROM A SINGLE-PHASE POWER SUPPLY AT 240 VOLTS, BASED ON KVA RATINGS FROM YOUR UTILITY. FORMULA USED: AMPS = (KVA * 1000) / 240 NOTE: THE KVA NUMBER FROM THE POWER COMPANY SHOULD NOT EXCEED THE HP RATING OF THE ROTARY PHASE CONVERTER YOU ARE TRYING TO START.

TYPES OF BREAKERS What is a Motor Load Breaker? A motor load breaker, often called a motor protection circuit breaker (MPCB) or motor circuit protector (MCP), is a specialized type of circuit breaker designed specifically to protect electric motors from: Overloads Short circuits Phase loss (in 3-phase systems)

BREAKER SIZES AND WIRE SIZES 230 VOLT MODELS Do NOT use this chat for Dual NOTE Zone Phase Converters Selecting the right size circuit breaker depends on whether you're powering a single piece of equipment or multiple machines together. Below is a breakdown to guide you through both scenarios: Add a little 1.

CONNECTING YOUR SINGLE PHASE WIRE Single Phase Input To connect your single-phase power supply, run both hot conductors (commonly referred to as Line 1 and Line 2 from your single-phase electrical panel and connect them to the terminals marked L1 and L2 on the phase converter input.
Page 14
CONNECTING YOUR IDLER MOTOR Once you have securely connected the wiring at the idler motor, run a total of four conductors—three power lines and one ground wire— from the idler motor to the terminal block. Terminate the three power conductors at the terminals labeled L1, L2, and L3, ensuring they are tightened properly and making solid electrical contact.
