Dear Customer, Congratulations and thank you for selecting our Halo Lantern to accompany your Grillo outdoor kitchen. We are sure you will find it easy and a pleasure to use. Before you install and use this appliance, please ensure that you carefully read through this manual to ensure your safety and the correct use of the appliance.
Attention! Intended and Appropriate Use: This device is for decorative and domestic use only intended for installation on a Grillo feature wall. The lantern is strictly for outdoor use only. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for any damage resulting from improper use.
e. Discard any damaged refill cups immediately (e.g., those showing signs of rust or deformation) and replace them with new ones. Never pour fuel directly into the fire lantern, as it may leak from the casing and cause an uncontrollable fire. WARNING: LIFE-THREATENING DANGER! Never add fuel to a fireplace that is still warm, hot, or actively burning.
g. Ensure no flammable objects are located above the Halo; maintain a minimum distance of at least 50 cm (19.7 inches). h. Wait until the Halo has fully cooled before transporting it. When using the Halo, ensure it is securely hanging on a feature wall. Do not place any objects on the device.
Always adhere to the current local and national regulations regarding the placement of bioethanol fire lantern. b. The Halo lantern is designed to be hung on a Grillo feature wall. c. Do not light the Halo lantern when it is placed directly on a worktop or table surface.
Damaged or faulty components must only be replaced with original Grillo spare parts. Using non-original parts may compromise safety and is strictly prohibited. g. Before each use, ensure there is no fuel in the refill cup. If fuel is present, it must be removed to guarantee safe operation.

Allow the refill cup to cool completely before refilling it. Use only bioethanol liquid to fill the cup. Safe operation of the Halo can only be assured when using the recommended bioethanol brands (available on Grillo’s website). Do not exceed the maximum fill line marked inside the cup. Never pour bioethanol directly into the fireplace, as it could spill and cause an uncontrollable fire.

WARNING: Once the Halo is lit, the flames from the bioethanol are difficult to see. Proceed with putting the glass cylinder on before re-attempting lighting. Putting on the glass cylinder To ensure the bioethanol has ignited properly, place the glass cylinder onto the lantern.

Do not pour water over the Halo during or immediately after use, as this could damage the product. Extinguishing Always keep the extinguishing lid close to the device. We recommend allowing the bioethanol to burn completely until the flame naturally extinguishes. If not, place the lid onto the glass cylinder and wait until the flame is fully out.
MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND STORAGE a. The glass cylinder is crafted from high-quality borosilicate glass and can be easily cleaned using a soft cloth and mild soap. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and remove all soap residue before drying the glass, as any leftover soap can increase the risk of soot particles adhering to the surface.
10. WARRANTY – UNITED KINGDOM a. Grillo offers a warranty for this appliance against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of the manufacturer’s invoice. This does not affect your statutory rights. This warranty is valid only if the product has not been altered, or modified in any way.
