    Congratulations on your purchase of the RHINO H1 Wireless Mobile Hotspot. This manual helps you learn how best to use the RHINO H1. We recommend you read the Quick Start Guide that you have received along with your device for additional safety information.

Inserting a SIM card Your device supports both eSIM and physical SIM cards. It comes with an eSIM pre-installed, which you can activate by contacting your carrier.

    The top of the screen features status indicators for network signal strength , data traffic activity, message , battery and others. Managing Your Hotspot You can manage your settings directly on the device’s screen or using the website. The following features help you to manage your device’s screen.
  • Page 12 Press the Power/Enter Key to enter the detailed interface of 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi info. The default Wi-Fi SSID and password can be found on the Wi-Fi Information screen. Airplane Settings From the Home screen, press the Menu Key to switch to Airplane Settings. Press the Power Key / Enter Key to enter the settings, press the Menu Key to turn on/off the Airplane Settings.

    Managing Mobile Hotspot using the Admin Web UI You can change the device settings by logging in to the Mobile Hotspot configuration web page. Launch the Internet browser. Enter the Device Manager Website IP address http://192.168.1.1 http://rhinoh1.hotspot/ in the Address bar. Enter the Username and Password and then click Sign In.
  • Page 15 Changing your RHINO H1 password You can change the default password using the Admin Web UI. • Select Settings > Account Settings > Password. • Enter the current password and then enter the new password of your choice. • Click Apply to save the new password.

    Home The Home page allows you to quickly access commonly used links and all available menu options for your device. Web UI Settings Networks This screen allows you to change the network settings, and it may affect the device’s network connection.

  • Page 18 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels. You can do the following settings: • Change settings that apply to the Wi-Fi network. • Hide the password displayed on the device. • Stop the broadcasting of SSID. • Apply settings individually to both bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

    Local Area Network (LAN) The Local Area Network information is displayed as shown below. • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP): to enable DHCP-specific settings to apply to your device. • MAC address: Check the MAC address. • IP address: Check the hotspot’s IP address.

    Data Usage Check and manage the Mobile hotspot data usage. The Data Usage section shows how much of your monthly data you have used and how much time remains until your next billing cycle. Messages This screen displays a list of all SMS messages sent from mobile devices to the device MDN (Mobile Directory Number).
  • Page 21 Connections This screen allows you to check all connected devices. It allows you to block devices and view all previously blocked devices. Settings Software Update This screen allows you to check for software / hardware versions. Tap Check for new updates to obtain the latest software updates, if available.

  • Page 23 This screen allows you to check the GPS information. Note: You can Enable/Disable the GPS function when not in use. Most applications using this function will periodically query the GPS satellites for your current location. Battery This screen allows you to toggle Battery Protection mode.
  • Page 24 Advanced Settings Tap Advanced Settings to adjust the following settings: • Tap SIM tab to manage the SIM PIN. • Tap DNS tab to manage DNS settings. • Tap Firewall tab to manage key firewall settings. Note: Before making any changes in other tabs, IP filtering and port filtering must be enabled here first.
  • Page 25 • Tap Port Filter tab to define what type of ports to be applied. • Tap Forwarding tab to management and customization of your IP address so that you can send and receive from your LAN and internet sides. • Tap DMZ tab settings to manage the DMZ settings by enabling this feature and entering the desired IP address.
  • Page 26 Reset the Mobile Hotspot to factory settings There is a Master Reset button underneath the battery cover, on the bottom of the device. This button resets the device to factory settings, including resetting the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password. To reset the device, follow these steps: Locate the Reset button by removing the back cover.

    Troubleshooting The connection between your device and your hotspot through Wi-Fi cannot be established. • Ensure that the Wi-Fi function is enabled. • Refresh the network list and select the correct SSID. • Check the IP address, and ensure that you can automatically obtain an IP address.

    • If the driver of your device is abnormal, rein- stall the software. You need to uninstall the existing software first. Battery Use Handle and store batteries properly to avoid injury or damage. Most battery issues arise from improper handling of removable batteries and, particularly, from the continued use of damaged batteries.
  • Page 29 • Avoid dropping the device or battery. If the device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, take it to an authorized service center for inspection. • Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion or other hazard.

    FCC RF Exposure Information (SAR) This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the United States. During SAR testing, this device was set to transmit at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands, and placed in positions that simulate RF exposure in usage near the body with the separation of 10 mm.

    RHINO warranty All RHINO devices benefit from a 12-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies from the date of purchase and can be claimed against with any valid proof of purchase providing the defective unit is complete and undamaged.
