Chapter : Hardware Installation
WARNING! Only connect the DataTank via the USB or Firewire port. Never
use both ports at the same time!
Because USB 2.0 is backward compatible with USB 1.1, you can connect the Freecom
DataTank to any USB port. Please note however that USB 2.0 ports support signifi cantly
higher data transfer speeds than USB 1.1.
1. Plug the cable (USB or Firewire) into the Freecom Data-
Tank.
2. Insert the power cord into the Freecom DataTank and plug
the power supply into the socket.
3. Plug the cable into the port (USB or Firewire) on your
computer.
