    Instructions for Use SLIDEVIEW DX VS-M1 5 Operating the Scanner 5.1 Scanner Workflow Overview WARNING The overview below is a supplement to the content of these instructions. All users should ensure that they have read the instruction manual fully before using the scanner.
  • Page 24 SLIDEVIEW DX VS-M1 5.2.5 Scanner Warm-up Period Image quality on the SLIDEVIEW DX VS-M1 can be impacted by temperature changes after the scanner is turned on. To minimize these impacts, users are recommended to wait 30 minutes for the scanner to warm up after starting the system and before commencing any scans.

Prior to confirming slides either individually or as a batch, go through steps 1 & 2 below. Select a slide rack by tapping it on the instrument screen. This will take you to the View Detail page for that slide rack, to review scanned images.

Slides that are “confirmed” will already have images sent to the Image Management System (IMS). Slides that were not confirmed prior to the power outage will require rescanning.

This computer shares images and log directories that the Workstation will mount to. The Controller must not be connected to the Internet and the network must be isolated.     8.3 Removing Glass Users should not remove the glass or any part of the casing on the scanner. Contact your service technician, or Evident Support at www.olympus-lifescience.com/support/service/ if you need to access the internals of the scanner. CAUTION Glass splinters can be present in the scanner. To prevent glass splinters entering the skin, take appropriate precautions when cleaning the user accessible parts of the scanner and nearby surfaces.
