They are not intended to supply power to an ELECTRIC SPARK & OPEN FLAME: NEVER smoke or allow a source of extra low-voltage electrical system or to charge dry-cell batteries. Charging electric spark or open flame in the vicinity of the battery or engine. -

However, it is prudent to periodically check both the battery and the charger for normal operation during these extended charging periods.
