    1 Introduction The CMprint enables self-service payment for printing, copying and scanning, with payment by coin or credit card. It is compatible with most printers and MFPs. The payment methods available depend on the options you choose when you place your order. In the following document, we'll use the terms CMprint or coin mechanism indifferently.

    2 Customer journey 2.1 Home screen From this page, three buttons give access to CMprint main features (the buttons can be disabled in the administration menu): • “COPY button” is dedicated for copy features • “PRINT button” is dedicated for printing features (USB Print and PrinterKiosk printing).

    2.2 Photocopy The PHOTOCOPY menu allows you to pay for selected copies from the MFP interface. To release copies on the MFP, users must add credit on the CMprint by using the available means of payments: • For a cash payment, by inserting coins (if this option is available)

  • Page 12 Once USB printing has been chosen, the following page is displayed: When a user plugs in their USB key on the CMprint, he can browse the documents. The user can swipe (left or right) or click on the “arrow button” to move to the different pages.

    In return, the user receives an email with a print code. The user can then collect their printouts from the addressed MFP/printer on the CMprint, the printing code has to be entered and the document printing options selected (page selection, black & white or colour, number of copies).

    Print option on the PC. If this option is activated, users must enter the PIN code to release the document on the MFP. The “PC Prints” feature allows users to pay for print jobs with the CMprint for jobs submitted from computers on the LAN.

    Customer journey 2.4 Scan If CMprint connects to an AirScan (eSCL) compatible MFP, the scanning features will be activated. The user can access this function through the scan button on the home page. Subsequently, the user has the option to choose either scan-to-USB or scan-to-smartphone. Please note that the scan-to- smartphone feature is exclusively available to PrinterKiosk subscribers.

    There is a credit reset delay during the customer journey. The default value is 6 minutes. When this timer triggers, the CMprint returns to the home page and resets the current credit to 0. A message warns the user 30 seconds before the credit is reset. The lost credit is saved into the statistics and is visible in the collection file in the overpayment section.

    PrinterKiosk contract, you can share your printing resources with other PrinterKiosk network partners. As a partner, you will benefit from the promotion carried out by Cartadis to promote the PrinterKiosk network, you will recover the PrinterKiosk network's clientele and thus increase your printing volume and profitability.

    In this case, the IP address, gateway and DNS server must be configured. “VPN IP address” is the address of the secure VPN client installed on CMprint. It allows remote troubleshooting for advanced support. From version 1.2, you have the possibility to disable the VPN connection.

  • Page 33 By default, the printing protocol is IPP. New printing protocols (IPPS, LPD/LPR, AppSocket/HP JetDirect) are supported by CMprint version 1.2 or higher. If your CMprint connects to an MFP that only supports IPP/IPPS protocol in a version lower than 2.0, auto-creation of printer driver by MFP IP address (driverless option) will not be possible.

    It shows information about the copier interface and allows to tune some advanced parameters. Activate the Sharp Mode if the CMprint is connected to a Sharp MFP (check that there is a jumper on the 2 pins labelled JP2 of the interface card).

    By default, the coin multiplier = 5 allows acceptance of a range of coins from 0.05 to 5.00. If you want the CMprint to accept a higher range of coins from your country, you'll need to change this setting. For example: if the coin multiplier is changed to 10, the coin range would be between 0.10 and 10.
