Because the HotSpotr 2.0 is active, i.e., it utilizes a fan to move air, it can overcome many obstacles and/or low-pressure areas of the underfloor region, effectively boosting airflow where more air is needed. -

The sensor’s inline connector allows you to quickly disconnect/reconnect the sensor head as needed. For a typical 2” thick floor tile, you should have at least 165mm (6.5”) from top of the floor tile/walking surface to first obstruction. HotSpotr 2.0 will only fit if clearance is > than 165mm (6.5”). The sensor should be located on the inside of the door so that it is facing the servers. Steps are: Align the sensor with the top edge of the top server or 1.5m (5 feet) above the floor, whichever is higher.
