ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR MB-78EI i MB-60E EI FIRE DOORS AND WALLS
1. PRE-ASSEMBLY INFORMATION
When receiving the finished product (door, window), check its technical condition and compliance with the order. If the
product is compatible and defect-free, it can be installed. Check the compliance of walls with point 2 of the Technical
Approval (PURPOSE, SCOPE AND CONDITIONS OF USE). With a tape measure, check the dimensions of the
opening prepared for installation. The free space between the walls or between the door and the wall should be no
more than 25 mm. Remove any loose parts of the building materials from the borehole and clean any excess dust. It is
recommended to plaster the opening. Use a level to check the levelling of the floor.
Important assembly information:
◾ During installation and cleaning, protect the products from contamination and damage.
◾ Remember to remove the adhesive tape from windows and panes as soon as possible, not exceeding 2 weeks
after delivery.
◾ By having your windows installed before all the wet work is completed, mind the risk of voiding the product
warranty.
◾ Once the installation is complete, ensure that the room is ventilated so that the moisture from the wet work can
evaporate.
◾ In emergencies, the installation of windows before the wet work is completed is only possible with extreme
caution. In such a case, to protect the products from damage and contamination from various sources, remember
to maintain humidity at 40-70%
2. ASSEMBLY OF WINDOWS AND DOORS
The proper integration of the structure into the wall depends on the correct execution of the following steps:
◾ Checking and preparing the wall opening.
◾ Positioning the structure in the opening.
◾ Fixing of the frame and building of the frame insulation.
◾ Adjustment of the installed structure.
Position and pre-chock the joinery in the opening. Level off the joinery in all planes.
MB-78El and MB-60E El system walls can be mounted vertically or at an angle of ±10° from the vertical position.
Doors and technical windows, however, can be mounted only vertically. The installation of walls, technical windows
and doors on the building site should take place at a temperature of min. 5°C.
During assembly, the structure should be protected from external factors such as:
water, snow, all kinds of construction mortars and construction dust.
Walls and frames of technical windows and doors should be fixed with: steel expansion bolts min. Ø10 mm, system
anchors, bolts or steel screws min. Ø5 mm (M5) at intervals of no more than 600 mm. Their distance from corners must
not exceed 250 mm and 200 mm from wall posts. The gaps between the wall, technical window or door and masonry
must be filled with non-flammable mineral wool with a density of min. 70kg/m3. Any other fire resistant filler approved
for use in fire-rated structures can also be applied. Then it should be sealed with a non-flammable material
(plasterboard, cement-lime plaster, fire resistant compound, aluminium section, steel section or flashing).
