Reaching areas

BEMER Horse-Set – designed with the dimensions and versatility to optimally reach all relevant areas of the body.
Reaching areas

Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the BEMER Horse-Set devices.
The BEMER Horse-Set products are intended for use in the electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the VET device can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters) and the VET device as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communication equipment.

Rated maximum output power of transmitter
(W)
Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter (m)
150 kHz to 80 MHz
d = 1.2
80 MHz to 800 MHz
d = 1.2
800 MHz to 2500 MHz
d = 2.3
0.01 0.12 m 0.12 m 0.23 m
0.1 0.38 m 0.38 m 0.73 m
1 1.2 m 1.2 m 2.3 m
10 3.8 m 3.8 m 7.3 m
100 12 m 12 m 23 m

For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meter (m) can be estimated using the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
Note:

  1. At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance for the higher frequency range applies.
  2. These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people.
  3. An additional factor of 10/3 is used in calculating the recommended separation distance to decrease the likelihood that mobile/portable communications equipment could cause interference if it is inadvertently brought into patient areas.

INDICATION FOR USE

The BEMER Horse set induces significantly increased parasympathetic activity in horses during rest periods.
The parasympathethicus – also called the "rest and digest system" – is responsible for the metabolism, the recreation and building of physical reserves. There are no unwanted side effects in horses.

Use and handling

The signal used in the BEMER Horse set contains components of the patented BEMER signal. All three programs are running with this BEMER VET signal. Only the duration and intensity vary.

  • P1 is the lowest intensity program and it runs for 5 minutes.
  • P2 starts with the same intensity as P1, increasing to medium intensity, and runs for 10 minutes.
  • P3 combines the functions of P1 and P2 and reaches a maximum intensity of 35 µT when used with the horse blanket, or 100 µT when used with the cuffs. The application time is 15 minutes.

We recommend using the products in the BEMER Horse-Set every day before and/or after riding. Each horse reacts individually to stimulation. Therefore, when selecting the programs and frequency of use, you should consider your horse's individual situation with regard to health, exertion, and performance requirements. The cuffs can be used for targeted treatment in the leg area and the neck applicator for treatment of the neck area. As you use the Horse-Set, you will quickly determine which program is the most pleasant for your horse and best meets your requirements.
BEMER Horse products are easy to use and, thanks to their adjustable straps, are also suitable for medium-size ponies and large horses. The incorporated stitched coil technology reduces the weight and provides great comfort and a large effective treatment area.
The devices in the BEMER Horse set are not suitable for human use.

Using the applicators

Alignment of the horse blanket
Place the horse blanket (top side facing up) on the your horse's back. Make sure that the two "BEMER dot" logos are at the front of your horse's chest.
Alignment of the horse blanket - Step 1

Use the slider to adjust the horse blanket to the length of your horse's back and then attach the side panels with the Velcro fasteners.

Fitting and adjusting the cuffs
Each pair of cuffs in the BEMER Horse set consists of 2 cuffs that can be used for the front or rear right, and for the front or rear left respectively. Apply the cuffs to the horse's leg from behind and fasten them with the 3 continuously adjustable Velcro fasteners (controller always faces outwards).
NOTE: The cuff inlets can be taken out and washed. Refer to the "Cleaning" section for more information.
The cuffs are constructed like a rail, which makes it easier to attach and fasten them.
Open the cuff and place it in the desired position. Now close the cuff carefully and secure it using the Velcro fasteners.
Please note that the controller must always face outwards.

Attaching the neck applicator
The neck applicator is designed for horses of varying sizes. It is placed around the horse's neck and secured via the five attachment points.
The narrow, tapered end faces towards the horse's head.
The two laterally adjustable neck straps are attached to the base of the horse's neck. Their length can be adjusted to match that of the horse's neck.
The two narrow straps are attached to the head collar on each side of the horse's head.
When using the BEMER therapy blanket at the same time, a fifth withers strap connects the neckpiece to the blanket. The coil arrangement is adapted to the anatomy of the horse's neck to guarantee optimal treatment of the entire neck.

Signal controller

Explaining the signal controller
Explaining the signal controller
3 Application programs:
P1 = low, P2 = medium, P3 = intense
Duration: P1 = 5 min., P2 = 10 min., P3 = 15 min.
The device cannot be used while being charged!
If the first LED on the battery display lights up orange, it means that the signal controller needs to be charged.

Activation of the signal controller
Press any button (P1-P3) for 1.5 seconds to switch on the signal controller.
If not in use, the signal controller automatically switches off after 2 minutes.
1.5 sec. = On/Off
Activation of the signal controller

Starting the treatment
To start an application, shortly press the button of the selected program. As soon as the application starts, the selected program LED will begin pulsating.
If you press any key for 1.5 seconds (P1-P3) during a session, the application is terminated and the signal controller is switched off (can only be used if signal controller is activated).
Shortly press the button = start

Charging of the signal controller
Connect the signal controller to the power supply. The magnetic plug prevents incorrect connection of the application module to the power supply.
The signal control is fully charged when all the LEDs of battery status light up green.
A full charge it will takes about 5-7 hours.
Charging of the signal controller

Simultaneously charge two signal controllers with the Y-adapter
Connect the Y-adapter to the power supply. The magnetic plug prevents incorrect connection of the Y-adapter to the power supply.
You can now connect one signal controller to each plug. Here again, magnetic plugs prevent incorrect connection of the application modules to the Y-adapter.
Simultaneously charge two signal controllers
