DESCRIPTION
The Mist-Head Reseal Kit 393644 is used for repairs
in Series 4955 and 4965 Oil-Mist Generators.
The Mist-Head Reseal Kit contains all of the
necessary parts to reseal the oil-mist head, including
all the "O" rings and gaskets. The kit also includes
two machine screws 76493 and two lockwashers
61463 to replace any that may be lost or damaged.
These instructions are intended for use only with this
kit. For more information on these generators, refer
to the specific generator instruction sheet.
SERVICE
NOTE: Shut off air pressure supply and electrical
power at sources and disconnect all electrical leads,
air line, and mist distribution lines from mist head
assembly. Disconnect the oil and air lines from the
mist-head assembly. Remove lubricator from
mounting bracket, if so equipped.
NOTE: DO NOT remove parts from mist head
assembly that are NOT SHOWN in Figures 2 & 3.
Disassembly:
1. Separate mist head assembly from reservoir
assembly by removing eight screws 76493 and

lockwashers 61463 (See Fig. 1). Watch for "O" ring
171003-13 falling loose when separating mist head
and reservoir assemblies.
2. Loosen locking nut 384428 and remove air-
pressure adjustment screw 385989. Remove cap
380162 (Figures 2 and 3).
3. Remove plug 380161, spring 380157, cap
380156, washer 380158, gasket 336523, diaphragm
305895, and pin & washer assembly 380160.
4. Unscrew valve seat 380152, using wide blade
screwdriver, and remove guide & gasket assembly
380155, spring 380153, and gasket 380698.
5. Close oil-flow adjustment screw 385838-B1,
noting the number of turns. Use the number of turns
for pre-setting oil-flow adjustment screw during
reassembly.

6. Remove oil-flow adjustment screw and inspect "O"
ring 171001-7.
