  • Page 5 STEP 1 - Attach the Impeller to the Axle Assembly / ÉTAPE 1 - Fixer la roue à ailettes à l’essieu Attach the Impeller to the Axle Assembly using one M4x20 screw. Fixez la roue à la boîte à engrenage et à l’essieu à Impeller l’aide d’une vis M4 x 20.
  • Page 6 STEP 3 / ÉTAPE 3 - Attach Hopper Attach the wheel tubes and support leg to the outside of the hopper using four M6x70 hex bolt, Ø6 big flat washer and M6 lock nut.   • Page 7 STEP 4 - Attach Wheels to Axle / ÉTAPE 4 - Fixer les roues à l’essieu 1. Insert right side axle bushing. Attach wheel and secure with an M5x45 hex bolt and M5 lock nut. 2. Place end cover over the end and lightly tap Hex Bolt M5X45 in place using a wooden or rubber hammer.

  • Page 9 STEP 7 - Final Adjustment / ÉTAPE 7 - Réglage final 1. Push the flow control handle to the lowest position. 2. Adjust the position of the two nuts on the short connecting rod so the hopper plate closes completely when the flow control handle is in the closed position.
  • Page 10 Operation Instructions Before using the push spreader, review the instructions below and safety information. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage or injury to the operator or bystanders USING YOUR SPREADER 1. Inspect your spreader before each use. Make sure the wheels turn easily, and the gearbox moves when the spreader is pushed. The hopper should be clean and free from cracks.

ADJUSTING FLOW CONTROL 1. For proper material flow settings refer to the spreading instructions section below. 2. Move the bolt on flow control assembly to the proper setting and tighten. 3. Push the spreader forward and move the flow control lever to the proper setting. 4. To stop, move the flow control lever to the closed position before stopping. CONSISTENT COVERAGE To insure consistent coverage, make sure each broadcast pattern slightly overlaps the previous broadcast pattern as shown in figure below. The approximate broadcast widths for different materials are shown in the application chart.
  • Page 12 Spreading Instructions / Instructions d’épandage CALCULATING AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED To calculate the amount of fertilizer you will need to cover your lawn, divide the coverage amount listed on the label by the weight of the fertilizer bag. For example a 10 lb bag of fertilizer with coverage of 10,000 square feet will distribute 1 lb of fertilizer every 1,000 square feet at full rate or ½ lb of fertil- izer every 1,000 square feet at half rate. For pre-calculated rates see Chart A (Example: 25 lb bag with 15,000 sq. Ft./pieds coverage = 1.7 lb/1,000 sq. Ft./pieds). Use Chart B to find the closest spreader setting (Example: 1.7 lb/1000 sq. Ft./pieds = Spreader Setting of 5).

    Maintenance and Storage WARNING Improper maintenance and storage of the push spreader may void your warranty. MAINTENANCE • After each use clean material out of hopper. • Rinse/dry inside and outside of the spreader after each use. • Before operating make sure the tires have the RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE 25 PSI. • Periodically check all fasteners for tightness. • Annually clean and lightly lubricate parts. • Use a glossy enamel spray paint to touch up scratched or worn painted metal surfaces.
