MOOER HORNET

Precautions

Please read carefully before use
Power Supply:

Use the correct AC outlet to connect the power adapter. Use a 15 V / 4 A power adapter with negative inner and positive outer polarity. Unplug the power when not in use or during thunderstorms to avoid damage, fire, or other issues.

Connections:
Always turn off the power and other devices before connecting or disconnecting to avoid faults and damage. Ensure all connections and power cables are disconnected before moving the device.

Placement:
To prevent deformation, discoloration, or other serious damage, avoid the following situations:

  • Direct sunlight
  • Close to heat sources
  • Magnetic fields
  • High temperature and humidity
  • Dusty or unclean places
  • Strong vibrations or shaking

Electrical Interference:
Radios and TVs may cause interference. Keep this unit away from radios and TVs.

Cleaning:
Clean with a dry, soft cloth. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, paint thinners, wax, solvents, detergents, or chemical agents.

Operation:
Do not force the switches or control elements.
Do not let paper scraps, metal products, or other objects fall into the unit. Avoid dropping, impact, or excessive pressure.

The product is suitable for safe use under non-tropical climate conditions.

  1. INPUT: 1/4" audio instrument signal input
  2. GAIN Knob: Adjusts the tone gain (can be saved to PRESET)
  3. TREBLE/MID/BASS Knobs: Adjusts high/mid/low frequency bands (can be saved to PRESET)
  4. VOLUME Knob: Adjusts channel volume (can be saved to PRESET) or MASTER global volume
  5. MOD Knob: Includes CHORUS, PHASER, VIBRATO modulation effects, adjustable depth
  6. DELAY Knob: Includes ANALOG, TAPE ECHO, DIGITAL delay effects, adjustable level and feedback (can be saved to PRESET)
  7. REVERB Knob: Includes ROOM, HALL, CHURCH reverb effects, adjustable mix and decay (can be saved to PRESET)
  8. M.TAP Button: Sets the MOD effect rate by tapping, indicator blinks to match the rate (can be saved to PRESET)
  9. D.TAP Button: Controls DELAY effect time by tapping, indicator blinks to match the time (can be saved to PRESET)
  10. Bluetooth Button: Short press to turn Bluetooth on (indicator on)/off (indicator off). Only supports one playback device connection at a time. Bluetooth pairing code: 0000
  11. TUNER Button:
    Tuner mode: Short press to enter/exit tuner mode (mute tuning).
    Tuner on the screen for tuning.
    Master Volume: Long press to enter MASTER mode to adjust global output volume using the VOLUME knob. Short press to exit.
  12. LIVE/PRESET Button: Short press to switch between LIVE and PRESET modes. In LIVE mode, the indicator is off, and the screen shows "L". Long press to save current parameters to the PRESET position.
    Preset mode: When the button light is on, the screen displays the PRESET number (1-9). Rotate the Amp Model knob to switch between the 9 preset tones saved in the preamp channels (with independent parameters). If any parameter is changed, the
    LIVE/PRESET button LED will flash, indicating the parameter change. The slower the flash rate, the greater the change compared to the saved parameter value; the faster the flash rate, the smaller the change until it stops flashing, indicating it has returned to the saved parameter value. Long press the button to save the current parameters.
  13. Screen: Displays functional information.
    Factory Reset: Long press the Bluetooth button. All button LED and the screen will start flashing, indicating boosting to factory reset mode. Short press the LIVE/PRESET button to confirm the reset. Pressing any other button will cancel the factory reset.
  14. Amp model rotary switch: In LIVE mode, the screen displays the letter "L," rotating the switch toggles between 9 different preamp tones based on famous amplifiers. In PRESET mode, the screen displays numbers 1-9, rotating the switch toggles between 9 preset tones based on 9 preamp channels (including surrounding effects). See lists below for the specific preamp models.

The HORNET 30 is available in 2 different versions / colors. Each version has a different set of 9 amp models which are accessible via the AMP MODEL control on the front of the amplifier. Here's a breakdown of the amp models in each version of the HORNET:

  1. Power switch: Turns the device on/off.
  2. Power input: Connect the included original power supply.
  3. Built-in handle: For easy transportation.
  4. Headphone output: Stereo headphone output with cabinet simulation for silent practice and line output.
  5. AUX IN: For external audio playback devices.

Modes and Saving

There are two modes of operation for the HORNET. Press the LIVE/PRESET button to toggle between these two modes. In both modes rotate the AMP MODEL control on the front of the HORNET to select a different amp model.

LIVE MODE
In live mode all parameters are indicated directly by their respective controls, like a traditional amplifier.
The LED SCREEN will display "L" and the LIVE/PRESET button will not be illuminated

PRESET MODE
In Preset mode you can store your settings for each amp model. Each of the amp models will recall all parameter values which were previously stored when selected, regardless of the parameter controls physical positions. The LED SCREEN will display a number from 1-9 to indicate which amp model is currently selected and the LIVE/PRESET button will be illuminated.

SAVING AMP SETTINGS
To save settings for the currently selected amp model, hold the LIVE/PRESET button for a couple of seconds after creating the tone you want. The LED SCREEN and the LIVE/PRESET button will flash 4 times to confirm the settings have been saved. Next time you select that amp model whilst in "PRESET MODE" the settings will be recalled. You can store settings for the amp models preset whilst in either of the operation modes.

GLOBAL VOLUME CONTROL
Hornet has the added feature of a Global volume control. This will adjust the overall output of Hornet and will affect the guitar, presets and audio playback from external devices.
Hold the TUNER button for several seconds until it begins to flash. The LED SCREEN will display a number between 1 and 9. Rotate the VOLUME control to adjust this parameter.
By default this will be set at full volume (9) from the factory.

Wireless BT Connection

  • Press the space BT button to switch on BT connectivity
  • Ensure that the BT is active on the device you wish to pair with the Hornet and that your device is discoverable
  • Search in available devices for "MOOER HORNET" select connect on your device to pair it with your Hornet amplifier. If it requests a password, enter "0000"
  • Once paired you can now playback music wirelessly via you Hornet amplifier.
