PDU2 Manual 2025-01-29 WIRING – GENERAL NOTES & RECOMMENDATIONS • Due to limitations of the connector, each pin is limited to 30A continuous. • 8 outputs have 2 pins connected together, so they can take up to 40A continuous. When using them as 30A+ outputs, these must be connected together, otherwise damage to the wiring/connector can occur.

  • Page 11 PDU2 Manual 2025-01-29 Configuration example - IGNITION and KILL SWITCH • Both FIA kill switch or TE relay wiring above will have constant ground on selected input present when car should be powered. If ground on this input pin is lost, PDU should deactivate all outputs, resulting in car being stopped and battery being disconnected.
  • Page 12 PDU2 Manual 2025-01-29 Configuring Example - Outputs • We want outputs to be active only when IGNITION is ON and KILL SWITCH is not pressed. This will allow us to turn the output immediately when KILL_SWITCH is pressed or IGNITION switch turns OFF.
  • Page 13 PDU2 Manual 2025-01-29 Configuring example – Wipers • Let's assume we have WIPERS button wired to Input 4. When button is presed, it'll connect to GND. First time we press it, it will run wipers. When we press it again, wipers will stop.
  • Page 14 PDU2 Manual 2025-01-29 Configuring example - Wipers and Washers • We want to have WIPERS button that will first spray water for as long as this button is being pressed. After 2s, we activate the wipers and when WIPERS button is released, we still let the wipers run for another 5s and then park.
  • Page 15 PDU2 Manual 2025-01-29 Configuring Engine FAN • If ECU is capable of turning FAN on and off, you can use ECU output similar to ECU_FP (see above). This example shows when ECU does not have this output and PDU is the one turning it on and off, depending on the coolant temperature.
