Medpage MPPL Tone/Vibration alert pager
The Medpage MPPL pager will produce a tone and vibration alert when a signal is received from a
compatible transmitter. There follows instructions for using the pager and pairing in new transmitters.
If the pager was purchased as part of a kit you will not need to follow the pairing instructions as pairing will
have already been completed at our factory and tested before sending out. Batteries will already be
installed, all you need to do is turn the pager on, you will hear a beep with a brief vibration then it is ready to
use. Go to general operation of the pager.
Installing or replacing the batteries
1. Remove the screw located on the belt clip at the back of the pager with a crosshead screwdriver.
2. Insert 2 x AA alkaline batteries observing the polarity markings
3. If you intend to pair in a new transmitter leave the battery cover off for now, if not replace the cover.
General operation of the pager
1. To use the pager slide the side switch to the on position
2. Use the front switch to select your preferred alarm notification: vibration only (top position) vibration with
low volume, or bottom switch position vibration with high volume tone alert.
3. When an alarm notification is received by the pager your selected notification alert will operate
constantly.
4. You must reset the pager to cancel the alarm. Slide the side switch to 'off/reset' then back to 'on' to
continue using the pager.
5. Healthy batteries are indicated by the front LED which will flash green approximately every 15 seconds.
6. Low battery alert is indicated by the front LED which will begin to flash red more frequently when the
batteries run down really low. There will be a noticeable drop in range performance and alarm
notification volume. Ideally replace the batteries when the low battery alert first becomes visible.
Pairing a new transmitter
1. Before beginning pairing make sure your transmitter product has the required batteries, is a compatible
transmitter and is ready to transmit.
2. Press the small black button located in-between the batteries only once.
3. Turn the pager over, the red LED should now be lit solid red.
4. Now activate your transmitter, the red LED will go out while the pager beeps once and vibrates briefly
depending on your selected alarm notification switch setting.
5. Trigger the newly paired transmitter to test the pager responds, if all is good you can now replace the
battery cover or continue pairing additional transmitters.
Clearing pager memory of all paired transmitters
The pager can store pairing information for up to 8 transmitters. If pairing becomes difficult you may need to
clear the pager memory. The following procedure will clear all previously paired transmitters and you will
need to pair all of them again
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Press and hold in the black pairing button until the pager beeps and vibrates twice.

transmitter codes.
