    This status icon will change depending on the current application status. Connection status icon. This shows whether the applica- tion has established an active connection with the Kistler system. Connection indicator icon. One of these icons will appear once a valid connection has been established to the sys- tem.
  • Page 6 Generate Config button. This is used to generate new net- work configuration settings for the Kistler system when a valid ethernet connection cannot be established. See Fig- ure 2 for further information.
  • Page 7 Network Configuration Utility The system’s IP configuration settings may be modified once the PC has established a network connection. This is only possible when the local PC’s network adapter is in the same IP address range as the KiNOVA hardware. If further assitance is required to understand the PC/ laptop’s network settings, then please contact the relevant IT support personnel or Network administrator.
  • Page 8 Network Configuration Utility Figure 2: Windows network connection manager When modifying the system IP configuration settings using a wired ethernet connection, simply connect the supplied ethernet cable between the PC and the system. Once a connection has been made, launch the network configuration utility application and click ‘connect’...
  • Page 9 Network Configuration Utility Figure 3: Connection Wizard The application will then connect to the system using the supplied credentials and the system connection status will update accordingly. Please note that your local network adapter’s IP address must be on the same domain as your KiNOVA system for a successful network connection to be established.
  • Page 10 Network Configuration Utility Figure 4 shows an example of setting a new IP config- uration. This represents changing the system’s ether- net adapter from being configured on 192.168.0.16 to 192.168.0.100. Once the IP address changes have been made, then pressing the apply settings button will imme- diately send the new configuration to the KiNOVA system.
  • Page 11 Network Configuration Utility Please note that a USB stick must be connected to the PC running the utility application for this to be successful. Required IP configuration settings can be entered as normal, and an output drive selected. Once valid settings and an out- put drive have been selected, then pressing the ok button will automatically generate a configuration file on the USB stick.
