Each pedal’s output is plugged into the next pedal’s input. Each pedal can affect the signal or be bypassed and pass the signal on to the next pedal. The diagram below shows that each of the eight pads on the S2400 is an effect slot which can contain any one of the (currently) 20 algorithms.
