TAKING MEASUREMENTS
• Turn the meter on by pressing ON/OFF. When the
beeper sounds briefly and the LCD displays dashes,
the meter is ready.
• Fill the cuvette with 10 mL of unreacted sample, up
to the mark, and replace the cap. Place the cuvette
into the holder and ensure that the notch on the cap
is positioned securely into the groove.
• Press ZERO/CFM. After a few seconds the display will
show "-0.0-". The meter is now zeroed and ready for
measurement.
• Remove the cuvette, open it and add the content of
one packet of HI93701-0
and shake gently for 20 seconds.
• Replace the cuvette into the instrument, press and
hold READ /TIMER for 3 seconds and the display
will show the countdown prior to measurement.
Alternatively, wait for 1 minute and just press
READ /TIMER.
• The instrument directly displays the concentration of
free chlorine in mg/L.
