Transitone Model 805
is
Prur,co's
newest
in
automobile
radio. ft is a highly
developed
super-
heterodyne
single-unit
type
Receiver
with
all
the outstanding
features
required
in
such
a
fine
instrument.
The
Receiver,
speaker
and full-wave Pnrr,co Vibrator are
housed
in a
rugged, compact,
fully
shielded
container,
which
is
designed
for
quick and
easy
installation on the
dash
of all
automobiles. When installed
in
the
car, the loud
speaker faces
the front
seat,
so
that the
extremely
powerful Pnrr,co
electro-dynamic
speaker,
concealed
behind
an artistic grille,
delivers
its
full-toned reproduction toward
the
occupants
of the car
with
utmost fidelity.
All
tubes used
are the latest Pnrr-co
high-efficiency tubes,
designed
especially
for
automobile
radio.
Prrrr-co's system
of
automatic volume
control used
in this
Receiver
not only
gives
that
smooth,
elastic
control
which
counteracts
fading while driving along and
prevents
blasting
of
local stations,
but
also
subdues the
harsh interference
usually present
between stations.
The new
Receiver
is ALL-ELECTRIC,
operating
entirely from the
car
battery system. The
full-wave
Prrrr.co
Vibrator is built
in
as an
integral part
of
the
Receiver.
fnterference
filters to cut out the motor
interference set
up
by the car ignition
system
and specially
designed
shielding make
the
Receivers
especially
easy
to
install.

F. TRANSFORMER AND PADDERS
The
I.
F.
transformers
are
assernbled 'complete
with
pad-
ding
condensers.
The
padders
are placed
in
the
top of
the
shield
ca,n,
one
above
the
other.
T,he
primary
padder
is
adjusted
by
mea.ns
of
the
screw slot,
accessible
ttrrough
the
hole
in
the
top of
the
shield
ca"n. The
secondary
padder
is
adjusted
by
means
of
the
sm'a"Il
hex
nut,
also
accessible
thr:ough
the
hole
in
the
top of
the
sihield.

The
coil
windings terminate
in
leads
instead
of
ternr,ina,ls
or
lugs.
The color
scheme
of
the
leads
is
given
in Fig.

If
replacemenrts
are ever
necessary,
replace
the
entire
coil

All
adjustments
have been
carefully
checked
a,t.
the
factory.
If,
however,
it
'is
found
necessary
to
readjust the
padd,ing
con-
densers,
this
prtocedure
must be
followed carefuJly.
Do
not
atternprt
to
rnake any adjustrnents unrtil the
prccedure is clearly
understood
or
wirbhout
the
use
,of
a
good
os.oillator
or
sign,al
generator
and
output meter. The
Prrrr.co
set
Tester
O48 is
highly
recommended
for this
procedure
a.nd
for all
service
work.
The Receiver
must be
connected
to a
six-volt
storage
ba,t-
tery
and
se,t
up for
opera,tion.
It is
assumed
that
tubes
heuve
been checked
ancl
that
the
Receiver
is
in
good
condition
except
for
the
padcling
adjustmenrts.
Remove
