Please read this instruc on manual carefully and completely to make sure you have received all components before se ng up the aquarium.

  • Page 6 The JUWEL filter system Bioflow The JUWEL filter system Bioflow is a highly effec ve biological filter system with two stages that includes components complemen ng each other in an ideal manner. Installing the filter in the aquarium makes hose connec ons unnecessary and prevents leaks.
  • Page 7 6. Phorax – phosphate remover JUWEL Phorax is a highly effec ve filter medium used to break down phosphates in your aquarium. This effec vely reduces the growth of algae and can contribute to improved plant growth.
  • Page 8 6. Put the filter cover onto the filter housing. 7. The JUWEL Bioflow filter system is now ready to operate. The JUWEL Aquarium Filter System is a biological filter system. For it to work effec vely, bacteria cultures will need to grow inside the blue sponges. This process can take up 6-8 weeks for the filter to fully mature.

  • Page 10 Maintenance of the pump JUWEL Eccoflow in the filter system Bioflow Super M, L, XL The JUWEL Eccoflow pump should be checked with regard to func onality and cleaned at regular intervals (at least once a month). Please proceed as follows to this end: Disconnect all electrical devices that are operated in the water from the power grid.
  • Page 11 JUWEL AquaHeat Pro - Installing the heater in the JUWEL filter system The JUWEL aquarium heater is supplied with the heater holder (fig. 1) which you will need for the installa on. Please perform the following steps for all JUWEL Aquarium filter systems: (You may need to start by removing an installed separa on wall holder.)
  • Page 12 Recommenda on: The JUWEL automa c heater warms the water of your aquarium up to 28°C depending on a nomal room temperature of 21°C. If you keep your aquarium in rooms below this or your fish need a higher temperature, we recommend to purchase a second heater.
  • Page 13 With the digital thermometer 3.0, you can check the water temperature in your aquarium conveniently and precisely. The thermometer is integrated perfectly into the JUWEL design and the large display allows for comfortable temperature readings. The JUWEL DigitalThermometer 3.0 is available as an original accessory (Ar cle Number 85703) for JUWEL aquariums.
  • Page 14 Maintenance and Care of the Mul Lux LED light unit The JUWEL Aquarium Mul Lux LED light unit requires li le care and maintenance. Only clean the frame with a so cloth and warm water.
  • Page 15 JUWEL Aquarium light unit remains water ght. The fluorescent tubes should also be replaced when the T8 or T5 light units are being used. All spare parts for the maintenance of your JUWEL light unit are available as original JUWEL Aquarium spare parts from your specialist dealer.
  • Page 16 JUWEL SmartFeed 2.0 Fu erautomat The JUWEL SmartFeed 2.0 is a convenient automa c feeder for granulate and flake feed with an extended range of func ons. Three different feeding intervals (24/48/72 hours), as well as the desired feeding me and quan ty can be programmed individually (up to 8 levels).
