Digital Clip Tuner RT CT 2
Dear Customer,
Congratulations on the purchase of your new RT CT 2 tuner. With your new RT CT 2 Tuner you will be able to precisely tune a wide array of stringed
instruments. This precision tuner is simple and easy to use. Please read the following instructions carefully so that you get comfortable using the device.

On/Off button and Mode Select
1.1 Press this button to turn the device on or off
1.2 Once the device is turned on press again to select the desired mode.
Two modes are available: Mic and Clip Mode. In Mic Mode
the signal is picked up by a microphone. In Clip Mode the signal
is picked up by a vibration sensor.

Press this button to get to specific keys.
The available keys are C, F, Bb and Eb. This gives the unit a
broadrange and allows for experimentation with many different
tunings.
3/4 Here you can select the tuning frequency range between
430 and 450 Hz. This additional setup choice broadens
the application range of this unit.

Operation

Remove the tuner's battery compartment lid on the back of the unit.

Insert the included CR2032 lithium coin cell battery. Pay attention to the correct polarity.
The side with a "plus" mark should face upward. Replace the battery lid and close the battery compartment.

Press the on/off button to power up the RT CT 2.

Once the unit is turned on, the display lights up in Clip Mode. Now you can attach the tuner to the instrument using the clip,
for example at a guitar's headstock. The built-in vibration sensor will now pick up the signal.
In this mode the microphone is deactivated. To switch to Mic Mode press the On-Off button again.
Now the RT CT 2 picks up the signal with the microphone.
Please make sure that the sound source is relatively close to the microphone.

Button 2 allows you to switch between the different keys.

Buttons 3 and 4 change the frequency range.You can select a frequency between 430 and 450 Hz.
Pitch Indicator
Flat: When the played note is too low in pitch, the indicator stays on the left. The light is red.
Sharp: When the played note is too high in pitch, the indicator stays on the right. The light is red.
Correct Pitch: When the note is in tune, the indicator stays in the center. The light switches from red to green.

Handle the unit with care

Use a clean, dry soft cloth to wipe the unit. Don't use water or other chemical cleaning materials.

Remove the battery when not using the unit for long periods of time.

If you notice that the indicator is not functioning correctly, replace the batteries. Dispose of the old batteries at designated disposal sites.
Don't throw the batteries in the trash.
