    QUICK INSTALLATION (for experienced users) About the ExpertColor MediPro... The ExpertColor MediPro is an integrated set of utilities which you can use to configure your graphics display card for optimal usage under Microsoft Windows 3.x and Windows 95. The MediPro provides the Plug and Play monitor support, on-the-fly resolution switching, on-the-fly refresh rate changing, monitor centering, custom cursor coloring and other enhanced features.

    INTRODUCTION Chapter 1 SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY The key to the utility of the DSV3325 is its VGA compatibility. Unlike coprocessor based or IBM ® 8514A-type display cards, the DSV3325 is 100% compatible with your DOS computer. This means that all DOS software will run correctly with the DSV3325 without modification.
  • Page 10 Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION By default, the DSV3325 will drive your monitor at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In other words, it repaints the screen 60 times each second. If the screen is not displayed properly when you boot your system, your monitor may not support this refresh rate for the resolution chosen.

  • Page 12 1. Turn off your computer and disconnect all peripherals. 2. Remove the cover of the computer. 3. Install the card in one of the PCI bus slots. 4. Replace the cover and reconnect the peripherals. If the system successfully power up and the normal DOS boot-up messages appear on the screen, the DSV3325 card is installed properly.

    CHAPTER 3 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION The DSV3325 is 100% VGA compatible and as such needs no special display drivers to run application software correctly at standard VGA resolutions and color depths. However, enhanced display drivers are supplied with the DSV3325 because they provide accelerated performance, higher color depths and higher resolutions to supported software application packages.

If you have not already done so, make a backup copy of the software installation diskette and store the original in safe place. Refer to your operating system manual for details on how to duplicate a diskette.

    Appendix A SPECIFICATIONS Programming Information The DSV3325 supports all VGA modes. This is the default configuration of the VGA BIOS. The extended VGA graphics mode is invoked by the normal INT 10 mode call. All the VGA extended modes can be invoked with the VESA defined select extended mode BIOS call.
