    LOKPREP reservoir 5.3.1 Assemble the straight fitting (14) to the cartridge (11) using a 14 mm open-end wrench. Use a few layers of PTFE-tape to seal the connection. 5.3.2 Insert the cartridge (11) into the cartridge sleeve (12). 5.3.3 Assemble the clamp for cartridge sleeve (13) using a screwdriver Torx 20.

    Filter pressure regulator 5.4.1 Assemble the gauge (5) to the filter pressure regulator (4). Use a few layers of PTFE-tape to seal the connection. 5.4.2 Mount the mounting bracket (6) on a suitable surface. 5.4.3 Attach the filter pressure regulator (4) to the mounting bracket (6).

    5.4.5 Connect the inlet of the filter pressure regulator (4) to a pressurized air supply of at least 5 bar (72.5 psi) but max. 7 bar (101.5 psi). The inlet of the filter pressure regulator (4) is marked with “1”. If suitable you might want to use the hose with brass plug (7).

    5.5.4 Adjust the filter pressure regulator (4) to a pressure of 5 bar for proper function of the dispensing valve (16). 5.5.5 Insert the device connector of the 6 mm air hose (8) from the reservoir to the socket named “RESERVOIR” at the rear side of the dispensing valve controller (1).

    5.6.2 Assemble the clamp for cartridge sleeve (13) to the cartridge sleeve stand using a screwdriver Torx 20. Adjust the LDS-DVH-H (handle for horizontal LOKPREP application) Loosen the screw inside the dispensing valve handle (15) using a long bit Torx 25. Be careful not to damage any of the hoses inside the dispensing valve handle (15).

    Getting started IMPORTANT! Do not operate a UV lamp nearby the LOKPREP dispensing system! Hold the UP and DOWN keys of the dispensing valve controller (1) pressed at the same time while switching on the device. You will see the SERVICE menu. By pressing the SELECT key you can step to the next menu option.
  • Page 16 The digital displayed pressure unit (P-Unit) can be switched between PSI and BAR by pressing UP or DOWN key. By pressing the UP or DOWN key, the value for the low pressure alarm-limit (P-Alarm) can be set. If the input pressure is lower than the selected limit, the dispensing valve controller (1) switches to ALARM mode and no new dispensing is possible.
  • Page 17 Pressing the PROG key switches to the next program and to manual mode. Press the PROG key until you get to “Prog: 1”. The dispense time can be selected with the UP and DOWN keys, and set from 0.01 - 999.99 sec.

We recommend always filling the cartridge with a sufficient quantity of LOKPREP before starting the working shift. The quantity of LOKPREP shall not exceed 300 ml.

    How to choose the dispense time NOTICE! The following table only gives a recommendation, which dispense time you should choose for starting your own testing. Always ensure that the amount of LOKPREP is sufficient for making the LOKRING connection tight. The following dispense times assume that the dispensing tip (19) is used and a compressed air pressure of 0.5 bar (7.25 psi) is set at the dispensing valve controller (1).

    Cleaning and maintenance Changing the dispensing tip The dispensing tip (19) shall be removed at the end of each work shift. A new dispensing tip (19) shall be installed at the beginning of each work shift. Checking the filter pressure regulator Regularly check that the filter of the filter pressure regulator (4) is not clogged.

    Wahl der Dosierzeit HINWEIS! Die folgende Tabelle gibt nur eine Empfehlung, welche Dosierzeit Sie für den Start Ihrer eige- nen Tests wählen sollten. Achten Sie immer darauf, dass die Menge an LOKPREP ausreicht, um die Dichtheit der LOKRING Verbindung zu gewährleisten. Die folgenden Dosierzeiten gehen davon aus, dass die Dosierspitze (19) verwendet wird und ein Druckluftdruck von 0,5 bar an der Dosierventilsteuerung (1) eingestellt ist.

    Reinigung und Wartung Wechseln der Dosierspitze Die Dosierspitze (19) muss am Ende jeder Arbeitsschicht entfernt werden. Zu Beginn jeder Arbeitsschicht muss eine neue Dosierspitze (19) eingesetzt werden. Kontrolle des Filter-Druckregelventils Kontrollieren Sie regelmäßig, dass der Filter des Filter-Druckregelventils (4) nicht verstopft ist. Stoppen Sie gegen Ende ca. 5 Sekunden lang das Drücken des Knopfes am Dosier- Handgriff (15), bis sich mehr LOKPREP angesammelt hat.
