(Fig. 2) Now pull the clamp of the locking device together with the retaining plate backwards to expose the clamp tips.
- Page 5 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BASKET LOCK Once you have unscrewed one clamp tip, the clamp can be removed from the plate and the locking device can be completely detached from the bicycle. (Fig. 4) Remove the front retaining plate of the locking device by first unscrewing the rubber stop.
- Page 6 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BASKET LOCK Assembling the basket lock Fit the sleeve bearings into the flat housing plate. Observe the installation direction of the sleeve bearings. (Fig. 6) Insert the locking cylinder into the flat housing plate. Ensure that the locking cylinder is correctly aligned with the housing plate.
- Page 7 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BASKET LOCK Now insert the lock into the locking cylinder. Ensure correct alignment. When correctly positioned, the locking cylinder is fully seated in the housing and can be moved by a quarter turn (90°) (Fig. 9) Place the spring washer on the locking cylinder.
- Page 8 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BASKET LOCK Apply thread locker to the clamp tip. (Fig. 12) Insert the clamp of the locking device into the housing plate. Fit the spring on one side of the clamp and screw the clamp tip onto it. (Fig. 13) FIG.
- Page 9 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BASKET LOCK Fit the front housing plate to the muli using the two hexagon socket screws. (Fig. 14) Guide the cables through the still open clamp of the basket lock. (Fig. 15) Fit the second spring and clamp tip (also use thread locker).
- Page 10 Tighten the rear housing plate with the two M4 screws and fit the rubber stop for the basket (Fig. 18) Ensure that the clamp of the basket lock with its tips engages smoothly in the two halves of the basket. If this is not possible or is difficult, the position of the basket lock can be adjusted via the slotted holes in the housing.
