Video connection

This unit equips three types of video jacks as follows:

VIDEO jack
This jack transmits conventional
composite video signal. Connect this jack
to your AV amplifier so that you can switch
the both audio and video inputs at once.

≥Connect to the component video (480P) input terminals on a projector or television compatible with this unit's copy guard system. (Video will not
be displayed correctly if connected to an incompatible television.)
≥In QUICK SETUP, set "Progressive Out" to "Enable" (

≥Some televisions that have 480P input connectors are not compatible. Consult the manufacturer.

Connecting the power cable

S VIDEO jack
This jack transmits color and luminance
separately and achieves high quality color
reproduction. Connect this jack to your
television using a commercially available S-
Video cable. If your AV amplifier is equipped
with S VIDEO input and output jacks,
connect to the AV amplifier so that you can
switch both audio and video inputs at once.

Plug the power cable into the AC IN when all connections are complete,
and then plug this unit to the wall outlet.
Caution
Do not use other AC power cables than the one provided. Otherwise it may
result in causing fire or an electrical shock.

COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminal
These terminals can be used for either
interlace or progressive output and provide a
purer picture than the S VIDEO OUT
terminal. Connection using these terminals
outputs the color difference signals (P
and luminance signal (Y) separately in order
to achieve high fidelity in reproducing colors.
