DSX-Core Getting Started
1. Remove the cover of DSX-CORE.
2. Ensure following jumpers did not come
off during shipping:
J3 jumper is in APP.
J4 jumper is in Disabled.
J5 jumper is in Bypass.
3. Connect the internal battery cable.
4. Replace the cover of the DSX-Core.
5. Connect 12VDC to the DSX-Core. Power
Must not Exceed 13.5VDC! The Battery
Status LED must be on Solid to connect
with the Utility.
6. Using the DSX-USB connect to the RS-
485 port on the Core using a 4-wire
connection as in the drawing below.

Power Down Procedure
1.
Once this procedure is started you must
complete it.
2.
Press the reset button on the side of the
unit for 10 seconds.
3.
After 10 seconds have passed release the
reset button.
4.
Wait until the Heartbeat light slows to a
2 second pulse.
5.
Remove 12v power.
6.
Disconnect the battery.
