    The illustrations and data used in this manual were current at the time of printing, but due to possible running changes, your machine may vary slightly in detail. Bad Boy reserves the right to redesign and change the machines as necessary without notification.
  • Page 10 STORAGE ■ Disconnect mower driveshaft and secure up off the ground. Raise mower with 3-point hitch. Place blocks under mower. Slowly lower the mower onto the blocks. Disconnect the mower from the tractor 3-point hitch and carefully drive tractor off of mower. ■...
  • Page 11 LUBRICATION Do not allow excess grease to collect on or around parts, particularly when operating in sandy areas. Use a spray lithium grease for all locations unless otherwise noted. Equipment is shipped with gear oil. Gearbox needs 16.9 oz. of SAE gear oil; 80W-90 is recommended for all temperatures.
  • Page 12 DRIVELINE SHEAR-BOLT REPLACEMENT ■ Always use a 5/16˝ x 2 1/2˝ SAE grade 5 bolt as a r eplacement part. Using a hardened bolt (such as grade 8) may result in damage to driveline or gearbox. Slide the driveline bell shield (covers the U-joint of the PTO shaft and input shaft of gearbox) back along the driveline guard.

  • Page 19 NOTE: Double capital letters (i.e. AA, DD) are referring to the labeled hardware items included in the hardware skin package. A. Install the mid deck hanging brackets. 1. Locate the hole positions on the tractor frame where the brackets will be mounted. (Figure 1A) depicts the right side of the tractor.
  • Page 20 (Section A. continued) 2.Use bolt BB and washer AA (one each) to install the Lift Bar Hangers as indicated in (figure 3A). Torque to 55 ft-lb. 3. Re-install the bolt and nut previously removed (Figure 1A) along with washer AA to install the Lift Bar Hanger RH as indicated in (Figure 4A).

  • Page 22 B. Install the front and rear mounting brackets along with the Tractor Deck Indicator Rod. 1. Locate and remove the two Spacers, Lynch Pins, and Flat Washers on the lower lift arms (Figure 1B). Retain the Lynch Pins and Flat Washers to be used in the next step. 2.

    (Section B. continued) 4. On both sides of the tractor frame, remove and retain the two bottom bolts indicated (Figure4B). 5. Install the Front Pull Bar Hangers on the inside of the tractor frame. Align the hanger holes with the bottom holes on the tractor frame and secure them using the bolts and nuts removed in the previous step.
  • Page 24 C. Attach the Mower Deck 1. Install the rear Joint Pins and the L-Bolt to the right and left side Mid Drag Links (Figure 1C). Insert the Joint pin to the appropriate hole and use the II Flat Washer and the KK Cotter pins to secure.
  • Page 25 (Section C. continued) 4. Attach the PTO to the mower deck and secure with a bolt LL and nut MM (Figure 4C). Torque to 13 ft-lb. 5. Carefully drive the tractor over the deck as indicate in (Figure 5C). 2x4’s can be used as step-ups to get the front wheels on to the mower deck surface.

  • Page 28 D. Level the Mower Deck 1. To begin leveling the deck, move the tractor to a smooth, level surface. 2. Ensure the tire pressure is 20psi. this is set using the factory tire. The deck height will be greatly affected by different tires and or tire pressure. 3.
  • Page 29 (Section D. continued) NOTE: The deck may not go all the way to the highest position at this time, this step is just for checking deck level from side to side. 4. Once the deck is level and raised in highest position, measure from the ground to the front-bottom edge of the deck.
