1. When the kettle is cool, wipe the exterior and interior of the kettle with a soft, clean cloth. Doing this as often as possible helps to minimize heavy build-up of deposits that require specialized cleaning. 2. For heavily carbonized kettles, Paragon recommends using a food safe, commercial popcorn kettle cleaner for aluminum kettles. Daily Filter Cleaning 1.
TEMPERATURE SETTINGS Power to the kettle is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) that reads temperatures from thermocouples (TC) in the kettle. This means there are no mechanical thermostats in the kettle. Instead, there are two thermocouples that each monitor temperature, one for popping temperature, and one for high temperature safety limit.
The variables shown in the previous step are for reference only. A general list of variables is as follows: Kettle Temp TC One of the kettle thermocouples for monitoring temperature. High Temp Cutoff TC A second thermocouple for monitoring kettle temperature.
High Temperature Safety Limit A very hot kettle can be a fire hazard. As a safety precaution, Paragon Apex ® and Paragon Zenith ® popcorn machines have a fixed, factory set, high temperature safety limit value of 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 Celsius).
B.I.B. OIL SYSTEM (if equipped) B.I.B. Features The Paragon Apex ® and Paragon Zenith ® popcorn machine models can be equipped with an optional bag-in-box (B.I.B) oil delivery system (sold separately).
