Getting familiar with the machine General The FMA spray computer ensures that the spray volume in litres per hectare always matches the desired value, irrespective of the driving speed and the working width at that stage. The computer continuously computes the requisite fluid flow (l/min) to be pumped to the nozzles based on the programmed spray volume (l/ ha), the current driving speed (km/h) and the active working width (m) at that stage.
Page 13
Getting familiar with the machine Changing during spraying The desired spray volume (desired value) can always be changed by the driver any time during the ride. It is also possible to adjust the spray volume manually at certain points in the field. Pressing the button can then return the operation to automatic mode, so that the programmed desired value is again controlled automatically.

Upgrading to ISO-tractor A non-ISO tractor needs to be adapted to the ISOBUS standard. An ISOMatch or Tellus GO control box is then used as a tractor terminal. An ISOMatch power cable set completes the ISOBUS upgrade of your tractor. The ISOMatch and Tellus GO upgrade are compatible as a full ISO communication system.
Before first use Mounting instructions Before the machine can be used, various parts and supplied accessories must be unpacked and assembled. Use the assembly instructions in the instruction book of the control box and the components list to find the parts and their place in the implement.
Connect the box to the ISO system of your tractor by means of the ISO-cabin connection cable. Tellus GO ISOMatch, Tellus GO terminal If you use the control box with a tractor equipped with the ISOBUS communication system, you can connect it with the supplied 7-pin CAN cable to a standard tractor CAN connection.

This connection is located at the back or at the bottom of the control box. The occupation of pins in the 9 point RS232 plug and the settings required are given in ...
• the electric control system of the implement. * The ISOMatch may remain on if you wish to continue using the ISOMatch Eye camera for peripheral vision. See paragraph »Function lock during road transport« on page 125. Check the weight distribution between front and rear axles.
15 km/h with spray boom folded in. Automatic function lock above 15 km/h If you keep the ISOMatch switched on in order to use the Eye camera during road transport for peripheral vision, the other functions are locked above a driving speed of 15 km/h.
Driving on the road Before taking to Observe the permissible and safe height with regard to • the road prescribed maximum height for vehicles in the road traffic regulations, • high-voltage cables or other cables over the road, • anticipated maximum headroom. Pay close attention to these aspects to prevent dangerous situations that could lead to major material damage and possibly to serious physical injury.
Use in the field Follow all safety recommendations given in your implement Use in the field manual Friction between moving parts: Be careful of moving parts jamming while carrying out adjustment activities. You could accidentally touch control levers and cause the machine to move.

Use in the field Position of the slope correction At left below, in the main screen, the position of the hydraulic slope correction is shown with a pointer (if the spray boom is made with the relevant sensor). This indication facilitates, for example, finding the central position for the folding (black triangle = central position).
Page 137
Use in the field Nozzle height In the basic setting the working height is the distance from the spray boom (or nozzles) to the ground. Nozzle height to crop Since the working height is not measured directly, it can differ from the actual value, depending on the tyres and in-ground depth of the wheels.
Use in the field Using the boom guide when In default position, the ErgoDrive system switches off the boom guide when turning on the headland. turning on the headland If the spray boom has too much movement while turning, the boom guide can also be switched on on the headland.
Use in the field Pressure control Switch for pressure setting In the manual mode the spraying pressure is adjusted (+ or -) if the switch is depressed. The spraying pressure (bar) can thus be changed manually. The current spraying pressure can be read off on the manometer on the implement.
Use in the field Alarms During working, it may not be possible to perform the spraying in the set manner for various causes. The user is informed by the warning function that such deviations have arisen. Flow quantity alarm If the throughput velocity is too low, lower than 10 l/min, the flow meter can no longer meter correctly.
Use in the field Control system alarm Auto Steer The automatic control system is blocked, the spray boom is still folded or there is a sensor failure. Tank alarm If the remaining quantity in the tank falls below a certain value, which can be programmed on the "Operation 1"...
Use in the field Engaging sections Spray cone symbols It can be seen from the spraying cone symbols in the display which section widths are engaged or disengaged and whether the central switch for Spray is "ON" or "OFF". Every bar above 1 or several spraying cones represents a section.
Use in the field Switching when using For spraying with the task controller, the switch section can be used to switch off sections. the task controller The task controller does not open the closed sections. Closed section by switch Working width Direct below the spray on the display in the main screen is shown the active working width.
Use in the field Border nozzle Switch for border nozzle These two switches can be used for switching border nozzles. There are two options: • Border nozzle for exact field border spraying: In this case, the switching is done between the extreme nozzle and border nozzle (with smaller spray angle towards outside).
