Mark mounting height WALL M OUNT The mounting height (9’ is optimal) is defined as one inch above the highest part of the wall bracket from the deck/patio floor. See Figure 2. Your awning’s pitch (angle) is pre-set at the factory with a drop of 29” from the top of the wall brackets to the lowest point at the front bar of the awning.

Test for proper operation (cont.) Test the operation of your awning by using the DOWN (open) and UP (close) buttons on your remote (see Figure 19). • Press and release the DOWN (open) button. The awning opens to its full projection and the arms will still be bent (this is normal).

Changing the pitch of your awning Tools Needed: 6mm Allen wrench (included with awning), large adjustable wrench, step ladder(s), and a helper(s). PROTECTING THE SUNSETTER FRAME Your SunSetter awning contains extruded and diecast aluminum components. These aluminum parts are powder-coated for long lasting beauty. (We have included a bottle of color-matched touch-up paint with your awning in the event that some area of the painted surface gets scratched during installation.
Care and Maintenance WOVEN ACRYLI C FABRIC SunSetter woven acrylic fabrics are made of 100% solution-dyed acrylic fiber and have a special finish which delays the formation and accumulation of dirt. To preserve this finish, cleaning of the fabric must include the following.

How to safely drain water from your awning fabric WARNING THE SUNSETTER AWNING IS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF RAINWATER POOLING ON THE FABRIC. ACCUMULATION OF RAINWATER ON THE FABRIC COULD COLLAPSE THE AWNING AND CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY!
• When programming multiple motors and remotes, always unplug all SunSetter products and plug in ONLY the one particular product you wish to program for the remote, at that time. This simplifies the process and reduces errors regarding which remote operates which product.
Adding or disabling a remote transmitter ADDING ADDITIONAL REMOTE TRANSMITTERS OR CHANNELS TO THE MOTOR Use the remote that currently controls the motor and confirm it is on the correct channel. Press and hold the Program Button until the motor gives a short back and forth jog. Confirm remote is on the channel you wish to add and press the Program Button.

Factory Resetting the Motor 1. Start with motor plugged in/connected to power. 2. Unplug/cut power for 8 seconds. 3. Plug back in/connect power for 8 seconds. 4. Unplug/cut power for 8 seconds. 5. Plug back in/reconnect power. The motor should start to run (if this does not happen, repeat the 8 second power cuts until the motor does run).
