BEADex 2.8 Intended use The WEGENER Welding Machine BEADex is exclusively used for the removal of thermo- plastic weld beads from butt welds, 90 ° welds and right-angled parts produced by weld- ing/bybending processes. Any other use than described above is not permitted.

BEADex • Notes on the use of personal protective equipment: • The sound pressure level at the ear exceeds 85 dB (A). Wear ear protection when working. • Wear safety glasses when working. • To prevent damage to health, wear a dust mask.
Before making the adjustment, disconnect the device from the mains. For safety reasons, the dimension for the milling depth is set to the minimum. Press and hold the orange button on the top of the BEADex to lock the cutter.
BEADex Use a hexagon socket screwdriver to loosen the cylinder head bolt. After the cutter has been removed, the mill- ing depth can be changed via spacers. Add- ing spacers increases the depth of cut and removes spacers to reduce the depth of cut. The cutter is fixed again with the cylinder head bolt.
BEADex 4.6 Blade change and adjustment Danger Before changing the blades or adjusting the blades, be sure to unplug the power plug. Remove cutter as described in chapter 4.4. Take the cutter in your hand and loosen the grub screw from the knife so that it loosens.

BEADex So you put both parts together to mount them in the cutter body. Insert the knife with deflector from the front into the cutter body.

BEADex Pay attention to the correct seat of the unit! Now tighten the grub screw again. Doing so, let the knife overlap evenly above and below. If more knives are to be exchanged, repeat the step accordingly.

BEADex After the replacement of the blades, they must be adjusted. To do this, loosen all screws of the blades so that they can be moved easily. Then place the milling head on a flat plate. Press the milling head against the plate. By pressing the knives align.

BEADex When pressed, tighten the grub screws, do not turn the cutter, but tighten all screws in the current position of the cutter. Refit the adjusted cutter in the machine, observing the setting of the cutting depth (see corresponding chapter). After completing the installation, test again if the cutter is scratch- ing.
BEADex 4.7 Vacuum up chips For all work involving a significant amount of chips, connect the machine to a suitable ex- ternal extraction device. velocity must least / s. BEADex 6.3 Storage If the machine is not used for a long time, it must be thoroughly cleaned (see chapter 6.1). Spray bare metal parts with a rust inhibitor. Store the machine only in dry rooms and protect it from the weather.
