Installation and Operation Guide OPENING THE MB AMPLIFIER HOUSING Complete the following steps to open the Quantum18 MB 1.8 GHz Amplifier housing. IMPORTANT: Before unscrewing the housing closure bolts, make sure the Spring-Loaded Latch near the hinge is in place and secure. The latch prevents separation of the lid from the base.
If you are replacing an earlier MB Amplifier module with a Quantum18 MB 1.8 GHz Amplifier module, you will need to upgrade the housing base to handle the higher current demands. 15 A seizures are required with 0.063 in. diameter pins and a blue plastic material.
The Quantum18 MB 1.8 GHz Amplifier requires a new enhanced housing lid. When replacing an earlier MB Amplifier with a Quantum18 MB 1.8 GHz Amplifier, replace the existing housing lid with a newer housing lid to accommodate the power supply for the Quantum18 MB.
