Valid for types: VBF, VBT, EKV, VL.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Electrical data are indicated on the nameplate on the battery.
Materials:
Overheating thermostat: Factory-set: 85 °C
Fire thermostat: 110 °C
Thermostat sensors: In the air flow, inside a common pipe.
Minimum air flow: 1.5 m / s
2. SAFETY REGULATIONS
1. Perform the installation according to National legislations and regulations.
2. Installation and connection of electric duct heaters shall only be carried out by competent
personnel with appropriate authorization.
3. Follow the specification given on the heater labels regarding power supply and direction of
airflow.
4. Filters must be placed at least 25 cm from the heater to prevent overheating of the filter.
Duct bends, turns or duct reductions must be located at least 1 m from the inlet and outlet of
the heater.
5. These types of heaters are not designed for installation in series, but for use as a single
device in a duct. For installations where the battery is the end of a duct, a protective grate
must be fitted to avoid contact with heating elements.
3. MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
1. Do not isolate or coat the junction box with anything that may inhibit convection cooling.
2. The heating battery must be installed in the correct position, according to arrows showing air
direction.
3. For flange batteries, install flanges on the duct to match the battery flanges, both on the inlet
and outflow sides of the battery.
