Voltage selector switch - WARNING The Trimtec is equipped with a voltage selector switch on the underside of the device for switching between 115 V and 230 V. The correct voltage for your country was set at the factory. Do not use the switch and do not change the setting!
Specimen safety It is the user’s responsibility, to ensure that the temperature set on the device, is at a level where no damage is caused to diagnostic specimens used with the equipment. In the event of this device malfunctioning, all specimens within the device should be checked to ensure no harm or damage to the specimen has been caused.
The device requires no regular servicing, but Slee do recommend an annual inspec- tion, as detailed in the manual which will prolong the life of the device to ensure continued safety.
Specifications The Slee Trimtec is designed to efficiently remove excess paraffin from the outside of tissue cassettes, with no risk of dam- age to printed text or barcodes, and with improved safety for end users. The hotplate features an anodized silver heated surface which is digitally controlled at a constant temperature.
40 °C with a maximum humidity 80 % (temperature 31 °C) decreasing to 50 % (temperature 40 °C). Operating instructions Place the Trimtec on a smooth and level work surface. If required, place an empty 120 ml specimen pot in position to collect wax which is removed from cassettes.
Cleaning instructions 1. The lower case work of the Trimtec, including the control panel, may be wiped using small quantities of mild de- tergent or polishes applied with a soft cloth. 2. The heated surface of the Trimtec will require cleaning at regular intervals, to remove paraffin build up. Switch off the device and allow to cool to room temperature.
10 Calibration and offset instructions The Trimtec has a factory offset value programmed into the temperature controller, aligning the set temperature with ac- tual factory setting 90 °C +/-1 °C. To calibrate the device for your application: 1. Turn on the Trimtec.
12 Routine inspection recommendations Slee recommends that a simple annual inspection be made for all Slee laboratory equipment in order that any malfunction can be identified and rectified as early as possible. This is to ensure user safety and prolong device life span.

If it is necessary to return the device, it must be cleaned and disinfected before delivery. It must be returned in its original packing. If the device or parts thereof are sent back in a dirty or non-disinfected condition, SLEE medical GmbH reserves the right to return the parts to the debit of the customer.
