Ensure that the pressure pump (water system) ON/OFF toggle switch is in the “OFF” position (down position) before starting the engine. CONTROL PANEL WATER PRESSURE AUXILIARY SWITCH PUMP SWITCH Ensure that all components in the system between the tank and the blower inlet have any mechanical components in a secure, ready to work position (tightened, all drain valves closed, etc.) Put the blower four-way valve in the neutral position.
Note* Please refer to the Yanmar operation manual for the Industrial Engine TNV for a complete listing of warranty, emissions, operations, maintenance, trouble shooting and specifications. Starting The Unit Ensure all components of the prior “Power Package Operation” checklist (previous section) have been completed and that all conditions are met.

Once engine has been “warmed” up, Engage clutch at 1500 RPM. Throttle engine between 2,000 RPM and 2,500 RPM (use the control panel tachometer). NVE recommends the 4310H blower to operate at 4000 RPM. b. NVE does NOT recommend operating the 4310H above 4500 RPM for extended periods.
Stopping The Unit 1. If the water pressure pump is engaged, switch the toggle to the “OFF” (bottom position) position to disengage the electromagnetic clutch on the water pressure pump. The water pressure pump will stop pumping water. 2. Throttle engine down to approximately 1,800 RPM WATER PRESSURE PUMP SWITCH THROTTLE...

MAINTENANCE Before Beginning Maintenance Before beginning any maintenance procedure, the system must be shut down and locked out to eliminate the possibility of accidental startup. Most systems that include NVE components have rotating members that can cause entanglement, injury, and/or death. Many NVE components also obtain high levels of temperature during, and for a period after operation.
Contact information for General Pump is provided below: www.GeneralPump.com NVE 4310 Blower: The NVE 4310 blower has an associated owner’s manual that should be referenced regarding maintenance procedures and schedules for the 4310 blower. This manual is readily available on NVE’s website under the 43 Series blower page.
Package Specific Maintenance | Understanding the Drive System The NVE 4310 Hydro Excavating Gas package operates with a dual belt drive system to drive the blower and the water pressure pump. A standard clutch is implemented on the engine to engage the belts with the engine drive.
Belt Maintenance This package operates on a synchronous drive system (see drivetrain information section). If a belt change is required, the following procedure should be followed. 1. Lock-out unit so accidental startup cannot occur. Think Safety! 2. Be sure vessel is empty and not under pressure/vacuum (4-Way valve must be in neutral) 3.

6. Continue turning until old belts can be removed without prying. 7. Loosen bolts holding engine sled to frame. Bolts only need to be cracked loose. (15/16” wrench or socket) 8. Once the engine sled bolts are cracked lose, evenly turn the adjusting rods counter-clockwise to bring the engine towards the blower, relieving belt tension.

9. Continue turning until old belt can be removed without prying. 10. Inspect drive system components and replace components if necessary (sprocket and bushings). At minimum, retorque the bushing/sprocket fasteners. Refer to bushing manufacturer for torque specs and procedures. 11. Install new belt over the sprockets. DO NOT PRY BELT. Bring engine closer to blower if necessary.

12. Tension belt by turning the engine tensioning rods evenly in a CW direction. While tensioning, simultaneously check alignment using the four-point contact method. This can be done with a string or an alignment bar. 13. Once proper tension and alignment are achieved (see specification in in drivetrain section), retighten the engine sled to 376 lb-ft.
