Intended Use This Pulse Oximeter is a low cost monitor for spot checking, continuous, noninvasive monitoring or recording of functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO2), pulse rate and pulse strength. Breath rate can be calculated from SpO2 and pulse rate.

Theory of Opera on The pulse oximeter determines SpO2 and pulse rate by passing two wavelengths of low intensity light, one red and one infrared, through body tissue to a photo detector.
