    Sorama offers repair services. The device is calibrated during the manufacturing process. Sorama disclaims all liability for any accident, injury or property damage resul ng from the use of product in an improper manner or in an unsafe loca on. Failure to comply with the informa on regarding safe use, especially tampering with the casing, will invalidate the warranty.
  • Page 6 The Product can be damaged If the ba eries are not removed.  Use only Sorama approved power adapters to charge the ba ery.  Do not keep cells or ba eries in a container where the terminals can be shorted.

    Connect the ba ery charger to the main power outlet before charging.  Use only the power adapters approved by Sorama to charge the ba ery.  Keep cells and ba ery packs clean and dry. Clean dirty connectors with a dry, clean cloth.

    DESCRIPTION The Sorama CAM iV64 is a state-of-the-art acous c camera, which enables you to show both highly accurate sound levels and localize where sound is coming from on the 7-inch touch display. Specifically designed for users who want mobility and have instant reliable acous c informa on available to them, in order to perform in- field measurements with confidence.

    Ambient temperature The CAM iV64 can operate in ambient temperatures between -20 °C to 50 °C (-4 °F to 122 °F). Note that water can cause condensa on, which can lead to damage in the device. The ambient opera ng rela ve humidity is between 10-90% RH (non-condensing).

    Horizontal/Ver cal observa on angels of the webcam. The FOV depends on how many features are opened (Spectrum, Spectrogram and dB SPL meter). When opening more features on the Sorama CAM iV64 screen, the horizontal FOV will increase and the ver cal FOV will reduce slightly.

    Special Workflow Modes Certain Bundles and Licenses, when installed, will adapt the user interface to only show the essen al informa on, controls and se ngs required for that workflow mode. All the hidden features and se ngs can s ll be accessed once the “Advanced Mode” toggle is turned on. This toggle can be found at the bo om of the se ngs menu.

    NAVIGATION MENU To reveal the naviga on menu, swipe down from the top. The following menu is shown. The user can easily gain access to the different features and se ngs of the device. The required feature or se ng can be selected by touching the related icon on the screen.

    9.1 Turn off Press on to power off the device. Another op on to power off the device is to press the trigger bu on for 2 seconds. When a hard reset is needed for the device, press the trigger bu on for 8 seconds. 9.2 Spectrum Press on to toggle the spectrum chart on or off.

    9.5 SLM Settings Choose a frequency weigh ng (Z, A, B or C), SLM target (‘Upda ng’ or ‘Measurement’) and choose the op on ‘Full Spectrum’ or ‘Selected Frequency’. Selec ng ‘Upda ng’ SLM target, will refresh the displayed dB value every second. Selec ng ‘Measurement’ SLM target, will start to collect dB levels when a measurement is started un l the measurement is stopped.
  • Page 20 Firstly, you can select the recording type of the measurement you will perform. You can choose between an image screenshot or a video. When selec ng video, you have the op on of toggling RAW video recording on. When RAW video recording is on, the Sorama CAM iV64 will record in a format which allows for further processing in the Sorama Portal.

    External USB drive Alterna vely, you can use an external USB drive (USB-C port) for data storage. Once it is connected to the CAM iV64, a window will pop up indica ng the USB drive is recognized. The Sorama CAM iV64 can record directly on the external drive (with sufficiently fast storage) or transfer internal recordings to the drive.

    Addi onally, you can enable the mul select mode by keeping your finger pressed down onto a folder. You can select mul ple files and folders to either delete or copy to an external USB drive or Sorama Portal at the same me. For more details, please refer to §11.3 Data Transfer.
  • Page 23 9.8.1 Sorama Login Log in with your Sorama creden als to access the Sorama Portal. This feature is only available when connected to a Wi-Fi network with internet connec on. Once logged in, you can select an ac ve project to which files uploaded from the 'Memory' will be added on the Sorama Portal.
  • Page 24 9.8.3 Wi-Fi Enable Wi-Fi connec on to connect with the internet. The Wi-Fi connec on can be used to connect to the Sorama Portal, execute firmware updates, or enable the screen sharing feature. When Wi-Fi is enabled, a list of available networks is shown. To select a network to connect to, click on the network name from the list.

    To use the screen sharing the device must be connected to a Wi-Fi network. Connect your CAM iV64 to the same Wi-Fi network to which your computer is connected and go to the Screen Sharing page on the CAM iV64. Here you can set a password and later use the same password to connect and view the CAM iV64 screen from your computer.

    Licenses A list of ac ve licenses will appear under this menu. For details on how to enable specific feature licenses to your device, please refer to paragraph §11.4.2. 9.8.8 Date & Time Select your preferred Date and Time Format. You can also change se ngs of the current date and me.

Connec ng Bluetooth headphones to the Sorama CAM iV64 gives you to opportunity to listen live to the sounds that are present within the Direc onal Listening circle, while it weakens other sounds.
  • Page 30 Outside FoV Marker This marker will show up on the edges of the screen when your CAM iV64 measures a source present which is outside of the standard FoV. This feature is useful when you are looking for sources with unknown loca ons.

First, connect a NTi sound level meter (that is switched on) to the CAM iV64 (that is also switched on) using the micro-USB to USB-A cable (that comes with the NTi sound level meter) and a female USB-A to male USB-C converter.
  • Page 32 On the top right in the SLM le, the NTi logo is displayed, showing that the sound levels shown are the levels that are measured by the connected NTi sound level meter and not by the CAM iV64. Similar measurements can be performed as when selec ng the CAM iV64’s SLM, however now it will store the sound levels as measured by the connected NTi sound level meter.

    9.10 Special Measurements The CAM iV64 contains special measurement workflows that will support the user to perform measurements according to NEN/ISO standards (EU) and ASTM standards (USA). These include workflows for the Sound Reduc on Index, the Reverbera on Time (EU and USA version), the Speech Level Reduc on and the Sound Transmission Class.
  • Page 34 Step 5: Perform measurements in the source room and receiving room. The total number of measurements depends on the number of speaker posi ons and the number of measurements per speaker posi on you have given as input. As an example, we have selected 1 speaker posi on and 3 measurements per speaker posi on. This would give us 9 measurements in total, including 3 measurements to be performed for speaker posi on 1 in the sending room, 3 background measurements in the receiving room and 3 measurements for speaker posi on 1 in the receiving room.

Step 1: Select the Reverbera on me. Step 2: Make a ‘New measurement’, change a previously performed measurement in ’Update previous measurement’ or load results from an exis ng measurement in ‘View previous result’.

    OPERATIONS 11.1 Basics Power on the device by pressing the trigger bu on. A LED light, on the le side above the USB-C connector, will be ac vated when the device is powered on. It takes approximately 30 seconds to boot.

    ⚠Cau on: As the weight of the product is heavier than normal cameras, choose a tripod that is steady and firm for the product. Be aware of the balance before moun ng the product on the tripod. Sorama is not accountable for any damage or harm caused by misuse of a tripod.

    A report will be download in the .pdf format presen ng the result of the measurement as performed on the CAM iV64. Below an example is shown of a report that can be downloaded a er performing a Speech Level Reduc on measurement.

In the ‘Sorama Services’ tab, check if you have installed the latest version of the acquisi on client.
