    Transceiver connection in general Due to the variety of radios, connecting the LiNK500 TNC to the radio is a bit more complicated. Robust-Packet uses differential phase modulation (DPSK) as the modulation type, which leads to a very narrow spectrum. To maintain this favorable property on the band, careful adjustment of the transceiver is required.
  • Page 14 Don’t overdrive the TRX because in this case the signal will be broadened and corrupted! Don’t be confused, as many modern SSB transceivers only display the peak envelope power. If it is necessary to set the MIC-Gain value to more than half of its maximum, it is recommended to increase the output level of the DSP TNC.
