USEFUL TIPS

  1. Battery
    Please recharge the Battery for at least 6 hours before the initial use. If you connect this player with AC power, you can use it directly.
    Note: Make sure you switch off the unit before charging The charging indicator LED will change from RED to GREEN to indicate that the battery has been fully charged. When the unit is on, the LED turns BLUE.
  2. Power switch
    Slide the Power switch on the right side of the player to "ON" position to turn on the player after connecting the mains power supply. Slide the Power switch on the player to "OFF" position to turn off the player completely When the DVD player is turned off, the power indicator will go out
  3. LCD Screen
    If you find scratches on the screen, just remove the screen protector.

  • Language Settings
    Press keg [SET UP] COSD language] Change the display language. It is the same procedure for Audio, Subtitles and Menu.
  • About the Maintenance
    • Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to clean this unit.
    • Use eyeglass cleaner to remove stubborn dirt from the LCD.
    • Do not use alcohol. paint thinner or benzine to clean it.
    • Do not press onto the LCD screen or drop the product from a high place.
    • This unit is not waterproof. To prevent getting wet, do not place any container with liquid near this unit (such as a vase or flower pot) or expose it to dripping, splashing, rain or moisture.

  • To clean discs, wipe with a damp cloth and then wipe dry.
  • Do not attach labels or stickers to any discs (This may cause disc warping, making it unusable).
  • Do not write on the discs With a ball-point pen or any other writing instrument.
  • To protect discs from scratches and dirt, please return them to their cases or cartridges when they are not in use
  • Do not use discs that are badly warped or cracked, or irregularly shaped discs, such as heart shapes.

PRODUCT STARTUP GUIDE

Playing Disc

  1. Slide the switch to the "ON" side

  3. Insert a disc and close the lid. To play the desired side of a double-sided disc, load it with the label facing up wards.

  • Some discs start to play automatically when the unit is on.

Turn On/ Off the Player
Slide the Power switch on the right side of the player to "ON" position to turn on the player after connecting the mains power supply.
Slide the Power switch on the player to 'OFF" position to turn off the player completely.
Note: If the player will not be in use for a long period of time, slide Power switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the portable DVD player from the power source.

Selecting the Different Mode (DVD/USB/SD)
When the playback is in the stop mode, press the [USB/CARD] button on the remote control or the player to select DVD or USB or SD play mode if certain discs or memory devices are connected. When a USB mass storage device is simultaneously inserted, the USB device will be recognized.

Return to the Root Menu or Title Menu
During the disc playback, press the [MENU] button on the remote control or the player to return to the disc's root menu or title menu (depending on the disc). For MP3 DVD, Picture discs, press it to go to the file or folder list after pressing the [MENU) or [STOP] button. Use Direction buttons [UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT] to select a play option. Press the [CENTER] button to confirm and start playback.

Play/Pause the Playback (DVD/VCD/CD/MP3)
During the playback, press the [PLAY/PAUSE] b utton on the remote control or the player to pause the playback, Press it again to resume playback.

Volume Control
Press the [VOL+/-] button on the player or the remote control to increase or decrease the volume level. To switch off the volume temporarily press the [MUTE] button on the player or the remote control. Playback will continue without sound. Press it again or press the volume button to activate sound.

Selecting a Track/Chapter/Title (DVD/ VCD/CD)
Press the [PREVIOUS/NEXT] button to skip to the previous or next title/chapter/ track.

Stop Playback (DVD/ VCD/ CD)
During the playback, press the [STOP] button on the remote control or the player to stop the playback.

  1. Slide the cover down as indicated bu the arrow.
  2. Pull the battery loader out.
  3. Insert the battery (2 AAA battery) into the receptacle, making sure the polarity matches the marks inside the component.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover of remote control

Using of Remote Control

  1. Point the remote control towards the sensor window on the main unit when operating,
  2. The remote control works best at a distance less than 8m and at an angle of up to degrees to the front of the unit
  3. Remote requires line-of-sight to work, ensure no objects are between remote and infrared sensor. Do not place the remote control in direct sunlight.
  4. If the remote control fails to work even when it is operated near the player, replace the battery.

Notes on Batteries
If the remote control is not used for an extended period of time, please remove the battery from the compartment
Do not heat batteries or dispose of them in fire
Do not dismantle, deform or modify batteries.

CONNECTION

Enjoy Fun with a Fire TV stick
Your DVD player comes equipped with a HDMI input port. Use this feature to connect a Fire TV stick.
Please refer to the image as below to connect.

  1. Plug the Fire TV stick into the right-side HDMI port.

  1. Power the Fire TV Stick. You can choose to power it internally, plug into the USB port on the right side of DVD player, or externally, plug it into a power bank or a wall outlet.
    Note: Using a DVD player for power accelerates battery usage

  1. Press [MODE] button on the onboard panel, choose "HDMI" mode.

  2. Use the remote of the TV stick to connect to internet and enjoy.

Your player comes equipped with an AV output jack. Use this feature to connect the player's signal to external equipment (e.g. TV, monitor), Please refer to the image as below to connect them.

  1. Connect the 3.5mm RCA Cable to the AV Output on the unit and the audio/ video inputs on the Television (Red to Red, White to White, and Yellow to Yellow).
  2. Turn the unit on bu switching the Power Button to the On position.
  3. Change the television to the correct audio/video input setting Audio and the video played through the unit will now be seen and heard on the connected television.

Enjoy Fun with a Headphone
Connecting Headphones
Stereo headphone jacks have been provided on the player for private listening. To use the jacks, plug in the headphones with a stereo mini-jack 5.5mm plug into the headphone jack and adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level.
Note:
When headphones or earphones are connected to the earphone jack, the main speakers will be automatically muted

  1. Be sure that your player is set at a low volume level before connecting the headphones.
  2. Increase the volume gradually for comfortable listening
  3. Listening at high volumes for a long period could cause hearing loss.

Enjoy Fun to Connect to USB

You can play or view the supported data flash, such as the MP3/WMA, Video flash in AVI and JPEG photos. Insert the USB device into the USB port on the right side of your portable DVD player. The portable DVD player supports USB devices up to 32GB. (Note: Not all USB devices can be read well, which mag result in playback issues.)

When the disc playback is in stop mode, press the [USB/CARD] button on the unit or the remote control, and then press the direction button [UP/DOWN] to select the videos or image, and press [OK] button. If you want to exit playback, choose to return to the menu bu pressing the [MENU] button.

Enjoy Fun with a SD/MMC Memory Card

  1. Plug a SD or MMC card into the SD/MMC Memoru Slot.
  2. Switch unit to Card Mode bu pressing the CUSB/CARD] button.
  3. Use the Directional buttons to select videos or image. Press the [OK] button to play.
  4. The portable DVD player supports Memory Cards up to 32GB.
    Note: Please be sure you don't insert the card incorrectly or it may become damaged. Always stop the playback or change to another mode before removing the USB/memory card.

Car Adapter Connection
Before connecting the supplied car adapter, ensure that all other connections have been made Insert the small plug of the supplied car adapter firmly into the DC IN jack on the right side of the player, and then insert the other end into the Cigarette lighter socket

  • Disconnect this car power adapter when the unit is not in use for a long period of time
  • Do not plug the car adapter to any DC24V cigarette lighter. Only a DC 12V cigarette lighter socket can be used. Connecting the car adapter to a power supply with a different voltage can damage the unit.
  • The car adapter is for in-car use only.

Menu Operation

  1. Press [SETUP] on the remote control or on the unit to show the setup menu.
  2. Press [LEFT] / [RIGHT] to select an item. The submenu of the selected item will be instantly shown, then press [OK]/ [ENTER] to enter
  3. Use [UP]/ [DOWN] to select on option, then press [OK]/ [ENTER] to confirm it or press [LEFT] to cancel.
  4. Press [UP]/ [DOWN] to continue to set other items in the submenu, then press [OK]/ [ENTER] to go back to the superior menu of the current one
  5. Press [SETUP] again to exit the setup menu

The General menu allows you to change the general setup of the DVD.

[TV Display]

  1. 4:3 Normal / PS PANSCAN
    If the unit is connected to a conventional TV set, the wide-screen image will be displayed on the screen in its native aspect ratio with some part on the left and right cut off.
  2. 4:3 Normal / LB LETTERBOX
    If the unit is connected to a conventional TV set, the wide-screen image will be displayed in its native aspect ratio with black borders on the top and the bottom side.
  3. 16:9 Wide
    Select this option if the unit is connected to a wide-screen TV set. The wide-screen image will be displayed in full screen in its native aspect ratio while the 45 image will be stretched out horizontally to fit in the screen.

[ANGLE MARK]

  1. Set this item to ON. When a disc encoded with multiple camera angles is playing, the angle mark will display on the screen,
  2. Set this item to OFF to disable this function.

NOTE : This function only works with those discs encoded with multiple camera angles.

[OSD LANGUAGE]
(on-screen display language)
Set this on-screen display language in this item(English/French/German/Spanish/Portuguese/ Italian).

[SCREEN SAVER]

  1. ON: If the image remains motionless on the screen, for several minutes, a screen saver will appear on the screen. You can press any key or button to wake it up.
  2. OFF. Turn off the screen saver function.

[LAST MEMORY]

  1. ON: Each time you turn off the unit or stop the disc, it will memorize the last play duration. Next time you turn on the unit and play the same disc, the unit will play from that memorized point.
  2. OFF: Disable the last memory function.

The video menu allows you to change the display properties of the DVD.
[Sharpness] Adjust the screen sharpness (High/Medium/Low).
[Brightness] Adjust the screen brightness from -16 to +16.
[Contrast] Adjust the screen contrast from -16 to +16.
[Saturation] Adjust the screen saturation from -9 to +9.
[Hue] Adjust the screen hue from -9 to +9.

The preference menu option allows you to adjust the default DVD disc setting. (The setting is only available when no media is inside the unit.)
[TV Type] Set TV Type to PAL, AUTO, or NTSC.
[Audio] Set the default audio language(EngIish/French/Spanish/Chinese/Japanese/Korean/ Portuguese/ Russian/Thai).
[Subtitle] Set the subtitle language(EngIish/French/Spanish/Chinese/Japanese/Korean/ Portuguese/Russian/Thai/Off).
[Disc Menu] Set the disc menu language(English/French/Spanish/Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Portuguese/ Russian/Thai).
[Parental] When setting a rating level, a password screen is shown. Follow the on-screen instructions, Do not forget your password.
[Password] Enter the default password "0000" then set your password.
[Default] Return the portable DVD to factory default beyond the maximum output of the speaker in sound effects processing.

Troubleshooting Solution

The player can't read discs

  • Please clean the laser and DVDs with the alcohol first
  • Ensure the disc is in the right format for our DVD player. Our player doesn't support Dolby, pirate, burnt and Blu rags DVDs
  • Find your product order and email to "Contact seller" (admin@boifun.net)

The player doesn't work

  • Make sure the power switch has been set to the "ON" position.
  • Check connections to the AC adaptor or battery pack.
  • Check the status of the indicator light. Under the premise of power connection, if it's on, there is a problem with the motherboard: if it's off, there is a problem with the motherboard or power adapter
  • Find your product order and email to "Contact seller" (admin@boifun.net)

Picture is distorted

  • The disc might be damaged. Try another disc.
  • It is normal for some distortion to appear during forward or reverse scanning,
The player doesn't read MP4 on the USB or SD card DVD player supports MP4 files your USB Drive/SD card, but gou need to convert the formats first. You can download a converter, Format Factory, to complete the conversion. Any questions please contact customer service for more help. (admin@boifun.net)

Remote controller doesn't work

  • Replace the battery (AAA battery)
  • All buttons fail: A problem with remote controller or receiver.
  • Individual buttons fail: Find your product order and email to "Contact seller" (admin@boifun.net)
  • Note: The remote controller needs to be aimed directly at the front of the Video Player, within 8 m and 30 degrees

The player sound is too low

  • Check that the two speakers of the player are working properly. cover one speaker with your hand, and check if the other speaker is sounding.
  • Check whether the disc you put in meets the specifications. Our player does not support DTS which is the audio track of Dolby Disc. Please try another disc(not pirate, burnt, Dolby and Blu-ray discs) to hear whether it will play louder.

No sound or distorted sound

  • The speaker is off if headphones are connected.
  • Make sure your DVD is placed properly and all cables are securely connected into the appropriate jack
  • Audio mag not be output due to how files were created

Can't advance through a movie

You can't advance through the opening credits and warning information that appears at the beginning of movies because the disc is programmed to prohibit that action.

Other problem

Static discharges or other external interferences can cause the DVD player to malfunction When this happens, disconnect the power plug and plug it back in. If the problem happened again. disconnect the device from main power and contact Customer Service or a repair shop.

  9. The unit must be free-standing and not pressed
  10. The temperature of accessible surfaces may increase when the unit is operating.
  11. This is not intended to be operated bu on external timer or remote control not in the package.
  12. If smoke is emitted, switch off and unplug the unit immediately,
  13. Cleaning: Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a slightly dampened cloth for cleaning and immediately wipe dry.
  14. Attachments: Use only attachments recommended bu the manufacturer other attachments may be hazardous,
  15. Water and Moisture: Do not use this product near water (e.g. near o bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, wet basements, or a swimming pool, etc.).
  16. Ventilation: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to ensure the reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating. These openings should never be blocked bu placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided.
