    PRINCIPE DE FONCTIONNEMENT • Insect calm peut soulager la piqûre d’insecte/la peau piquée en concentrant de la chaleur à environ 51°C sur la zone affectée. Le mécanisme d’action de l’application de chaleur concentrée (hyperthermie locale) est basé sur l’effet bref et concentré de la chaleur sur une très petite zone de la de la peau.

    OPERATING PRINCIPLE • Insect calm can relieve the insect bite/sting skin by concentrating heat at about 51°C on the affected area. The mechanism of action of applying concentrated heat (local hyperthermia) is based upon the brief, concentrated effect of heat on a very small area of skin.

    INSERTING BATTERIES 1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the device as shown by the graphic to the right. 2. Insert 2xAAA batteries. Make sure the pos- itive( +) and negative (–) signs correspond with the markings in the device when insert- ing batteries.
  • Page 33 EASY STEPS TO GET STARTED WITH INSECT CALM 1. Prior to applying Insect calm, ensure that the sting area is clean and that all remains of the sting have been carefully removed. Ensure that the device is cleaned before and after each use. For best outcomes, use Insect calm immediately after the sting or bite occur.
