    OSC, UDP or TCP commands. Mantra Mini can also accept a DMX-512, Art-Net or sACN input from a lighting console and can automatically switch over control of its fixtures to the console when it detects the incoming signal.
  • Page 11: Mantra Editor Overview

    Mantra Mini such as the real time scheduler and remote trigger programming. It can be used to program the Mantra Mini or to off line edit Mantra Lite lighting console show files. The Mantra Editor includes all the Mantra Lite features such as the fixture library, colour pickers, cue lists and chases plus quick and easy effects such as animations and shapes.

    Mantra Mini Installation 2.1 DIN Mount The Mantra Mini mounts on a standard TS35 DIN rail. The Mantra Mini is 9 DIN modules wide (157.5mm). Allow adequate ventilation and do not expose the Mantra Mini to direct sunlight or moisture. The Mantra Mini is fitted with a small internal automatic variable speed fan to internally circulate the air.

    When wall plates are connected, the mantra Mini must be connected to a 9-24v power supply and not to the PoE power. LSC wall plates can also be connected via the network Ethernet connector. In this case the wall plates get their power via PoE from the network (not via the Mantra Mini).

    DMX to different locations. To configure DMX, set a DMX address on each fixture and then use Mantra Mini to control each fixture based on its address. Each fixture will use a quantity of DMX channels to control its different functions as listed in its specifications.

  • Page 18 UDP messages to control the playback of Mantra Mini. The house lighting console can be patched into any data point around the venue and when the Mantra Mini detects the house consoles’ sACN signal it gives it control of the lighting fixtures.

    You set an address on each fixture and use Mantra Mini to control each fixture based on its address. Each fixture will use a quantity of DMX channels to control its different functions as listed in its specifications. The address that you choose for each fixture must allow for the addresses used by other fixtures so that no overlaps exist.

    When you click a fixture model, the details of the DMX channels for that fixture (as contained in the Mantra Mini fixture library) are shown on the right. Set the universe to which the fixture is connected by clicking in the “U” box and typing either 1 or 2.

    24 channel mode splits the fixture into 8 sub-fixtures with RGB for each sub-fixture. In this case LSC recommends patching the fixture in 7 channel mode and utilising the in-built effects of the fixture. This will allow you to create complex effects in a fraction of the time than when operating in the other modes.

There are several methods of selecting fixtures. 1. On the Home screen, clicking a fixture icon selects that fixture (its number background turns yellow).

    The value for each attribute of a fixture (intensity, colour, position, etcetera) could come from multiple places within Mantra Mini. It might be from the “Live Memory” during programming or it might be from any active playback containing a cue that includes that fixture. The value for each attribute that appears on the output is determined by a method known as LTP (Latest Takes Precedence).

    Mantra Mini/Mantra Editor User Manual When a cue is recorded it uses the default in and out fade times (2 seconds). If you usually require a different time, you can change the default fade time. See section 18.2. When a single cue is played, the output level of that playback will fade in or fade out using the in or out fade times for that cue.
