PORTABLE KARAOKE MUSIC SYSTEM
Your RadioShack Portable Karaoke
Music System lets you be the "star" as
you sing along with your favorite re-
cordings and hear your voice with the
music through the speaker. You can
sing along with regular cassette tapes
or use special karaoke cassette tapes
(such as the supplied tape).
The system's compact design and
convenient carrying handle let you
take it almost anywhere.
Its features include:
Supplied Karaoke Audio Tape —
lets you sing along with the music and
adjust the volume of the prerecorded
voice and music.
Sing-Along Function — lets you mix
your own voice with a song from a
cassette tape.
Attached Microphone with 5-Foot
Cord — lets you hear yourself sing
along with the music through the built-
in speaker.
Fader Control — lets you adjust the
balance between the voice and music
when using a special karaoke cassette
tape.
Single Cassette Deck — lets you
record your voice or sing along with a
tape.

Earphone Jack — so you can listen in
private.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Your karaoke system requires four C
batteries (not supplied) for power. For
the best performance and longest life,
we recommend alkaline batteries, such
as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-551.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the re-
quired size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries,
different types of batteries (stan-
dard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or
rechargeable batteries of different
capacities.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly
and properly. Do not burn or bury
them.
• Always remove old or weak batter-
ies. Batteries can leak chemicals
that can destroy electronic parts.
Follow these steps to install batteries.
1. Press and slide the battery compart-
ment cover in the direction of the ar-
row and lift it up.
