setting, as daytime running lights.
With the optional LED elements,
the rings emit a brilliant white light.
Americans lovingly refer to the light

ATTRACTING
ATTENTION.
Immediately recognisable as a BMW. Advanced lighting
technology creates the unmistakable BMW face. Other
innovations such as Adaptive Headlights, LED technology or
the Dynamic Braking Lights help drivers see and be seen.

Glowing L-shaped light rods.
For the rst time, the taillights of
the BMW
Series Convertible
feature the typical BMW L-shape.
Two LED light strips extend from
the car's side all the way into the
boot lid. Even with the lights
switched off, they remain visible,
exuding a subtle glow. In this way,
the BMW
Series Convertible can
always be recognised as a BMW,
even from behind.
Dynamic Braking Lights.
To warn vehicles following
behind, the braking lights of
the BMW
Series Convertible
ash when the car is braking
hard within the ABS control
range. If the car makes an
emergency stop, the hazard
warning lights are automatically
activated.
Variable light distribution.
The Adaptive Headlights function
controls the left and right headlights
independently of each other, adapting
their range to the car's speed. In
town, the light cone is broad and
short; on B-roads, it corresponds
to today's low beam, and on
motorways, it is narrower and longer.
Adaptive Headlights.
Dynamic swivelling technology
ensures that the headlights always
follow the layout of the road ahead.
Cornering lights integrated in the
main headlights illuminate tight
corners and hairpin bends. Compared
to conventional xed headlights,
drivers can see up to
per cent
more in corners.
